Only thing that I didn't like was that it said it came with stakes to fasten it into the ground, which it did, but they were basically wimpy tent stakes that wouldn't support the structure if they wanted to. Other than that, very happy about the pergola. Made a big improvement to our backyard!

We built the 10x 12 Pergola over two days. The first day my husband put the roof pieces together in the garage. We built the posts lying on their side on the deck, adding the outer roof piece. Then our adult son, my husband and myself lifted it up and slid it into place followed by screwing it into the deck. Next we put the first row of roof pieces on that we prebuilt earlier and screwed them in. We then put the base trim on around the post. The following morning we put up the decorative trim on the top and the top roof pieces. Some of the cutouts for the roof were not fully cut, so we had to dremel them to make the pieces fit (3 pieces). And we were missing a bag of screws. Other than that it was fairly easy. I think we are going to love it as it does provide some shade. It feels very secure on the deck as well. Now we just need to stain our deck and it will look perfect.

I would probably give this 5 stars however, the shipping was ridiculous and customer service was non existing. I send 5 emails and no one answered me back. Because of the shipping issue the packages were damaged - heck some of the wood was damaged. I have pictures. It is a nice product and easy to install. This company needs to figure customer service out. The product shipped out from California was shipped back East then back to Utah. In what world does that make sense? It’s cost me $99.00 it arrived 4 days later than I was told. Absolutely ridiculous service.

every measurement on the product information was WRONG. My contractor doing the construction found the posts were about 10" shorter than the 81" advertised and advised me this wouldn't be tall enough for comfort. We had to order new posts locally. Then he went to put the roof parts together and found THOSE measurements were ALSO wrong. Fortunately, they had not poured the footings (necessary in my location due to winds). Also the support brackets were insufficient and he had to get supplemental ones. VERY disappointing.

I loved the quality and the appearance. The problem I have is the instructions compared to the pre-cut notches and holes. For example, on the pillars, there was no pre-cut holes for the brackets at the bottom for the ground stakes. The instructions had the brackets going on the side of the pillars. Since there was no pre-drilled holes, I had to drill holes on the side per the instructions. Not until it was time to put the boots on (which was the last thing to do), the boots had pre-cut in the center for the brackets not the side. I had to take off the brackets that were on the side and replace them in the middle which took about an hour for each pillar extra time. This would have been so much easier before everything had been erected. A lot of the notches had to be whittled out made to fit probably. Took 17 hours total to put together because of the adjustments I had to do. Very sturdy

I wish they gave a full material list on this item. The four corner post are solid cedar. However, the ceiling is pieced together 1” thick slats. Lots of bolts. It is not as strong as what we hoped. If we would have built this from scratch, we would have used 2” thick wood. Then we could have hung a porch swing or hammock. This pergola will provide shade. That is it.

This item is not as advertised. We bought the 12 x 16 size specifically to fit into our space but once received, the professional company we hired to install it, measured it before starting and the product is only 10x16 so we cannot use it. What a waste of money, because we still had to pay the installers for the day and cannot use the pergola in our space.

Many pieces arrived broken and the seller would not ship replacements. The final assembled pergola looks much thinner and cheaper in person than in the photos. Would not buy again.

The product came with damage to it. I took it to the local Walmart store, they said that they can't return it because it is through Marketplace. I then contacted the seller, who said that they will not take returns and offered me 50 bucks compensation. The web advertisement said "Extended holiday returnsFree Holiday returns until Jan 31". In reality, there are no returns at all. Stay away from these guys.

alot of missing parts and 1 box was damaged and sent back to them and they never sent me another box until I contacted them, now I'm waiting on 8 more pieces that was missing from other boxes.
