Yes this is processed cheese, but it is good processed cheese. My last purchased was the GV brand that never even melted, so having this cheese was night and day. The cheese does add flavor to what it is used on. Many packaged cheeses don't add flavor, just that melty texture, but this one also adds flavor. Works great for omelettes and burgers, I made a mini broccoli soup and was great for that as well. Also great for a grab from the fridge in the middle of the night
I do not want to hate on Great Value, but their cheese quality and thickness has changed but price increased. Therefore, we chose the name brand Velveeta because it offers sharp cheddar in slicer which is our favorite. It's worth the little extra money to get something that has a good taste like cheese should.
Did not expect this to be much different in taste than the regular Velveeta slice, but it was stronger in flavor, so I like it better than regular Velveeta. The stronger flavor helps to offset the salty taste of the regular variety. Will buy again.
I prefer real cheese but with the outrageous prices of today, I have actually found a decent “fake” cheese. This is not bad at all but you must buy the sharp cheddar flavor. It's not deli cheese but this is the best flavored one that I found. Try it out. You might be surprised.
I bought these cheese slices to make grilled cheese sandwiches. I prefer the sharp cheddar to the American cheese and they never had it in slices only blocks. I sometimes make toast and eat it with butter and a slice of cheese on it. Velveeta is softer than other block cheese so it is great for Grilled sandwiches.
I love Velveeta, and when I saw that they made cheese singles I had to give them a try. I was not disappointed!! The taste and the melty goodness is on point. I'm used to buying either Kraft Singles or the generic Great Value brand which are both great and the Great Value brand is cost effective. Given that, I still find myself going with the Velveeta now. I love the taste and they are great on regular sandwiches and grilled cheese. I definitely recommend them.
It was smashed and opened when I received it, I did a review and am suppose to get reimbursed I was afraid to eat any of it When I did the review the night i received it, they didn't ask for any pictures so I threw it away
Iv'e been using these cheese slices for a while now because they have more than half of fat than regular cheese, 2% fat, 3% sat fat compared to deli cheese, 9% fat, 20% sat fat per slice although kraft 2% milkfat slices are comparable
I have always loved Velveeta cheese since I was a child. I decided to try the Sharp cheddar and I was blown away this is my go-to Velveeta now. It has all the greatness of Velveeta with a stronger cheddar type cheese taste.
The first time I purchased this in-store it was as described and safe to eat. I ordered some today and it looked like the person that picked the order stepped on it. Why is it so difficult for people at Wal-Mart to do their job. It is literally the easiest place on the planet to work. You read an order list and put it SAFELY into a cart or basket and SAFELY bag it. You literally make over $20 an hour and every single order that get is messed up by the Wal-Mart order people or placed directly in front my door so that I have to either walk all the way around the house to get it or push it down the stair damaging my products. WOW, is all that I can say at this point. I have been using online for 2 years and it just keeps going down hill. Maybe HR should be fired or do a better job hiring these people. In-person interviewing is how to hire not virtual meet and greet with the comfort of hiding behind the keyboard. In-person is how you see how a person deals with a stressful situation. Anyone can sound decent hiding behind a phone or keyboard. Do better HR, do better...
