This Watch is the Best for Me! Number one, I am a track coach, so having a physical button for starting and stoping a stopwatch is a must. Apple doesn’t understand this. The Round display is Amazing, with amazing customizable Watch faces. (See pictures) Screen is very responsive and I don’t notice any difference between it and the Apple Watch my wife has. Apple Watch doesn’t look like a watch IMO. I’ve owned two and could not get over the way it looked or how often I had to charge it. BEST PART I am using my Venu 2 all day everyday (sleep tracking) and get 8-11 days on a charge depending on how often I use gps. Heart rate vs my chest strap is spot on. Both My Apple watches crashed several times and rebooted several times. I Haven’t seen that from my Venu 2 yet. Notifications are great, only drawback for iPhone users is that Apple won’t let you reply to msgs. Android users get this feature. You are however able to make and accept phone calls. It’s a great watch go buy one!
I'm really happy with this watch. I use it to track activity as well as all the day-day use and the battery lasts about 1 week and charges fully in about 1 hour. the user interface is great. there's not big bulky button for your wrist to accidently press when you fold your wrist back. the user interface is fast and simple. all the data collected by the watch is available without a subscription. would recommend this any day!
I have had this new watch for almost a month and really like it alot, only have to recharge about everyv5or 6 days. Was easy to setup and customize, if you are on the fence about getting one you akecuhe plunge you will not be sorry. This is my second and when you have issue they really do a lot to help resolve the issue. Complete satisfied.
Even though the Venu 2 45mm is 5 years old, it still seems modern. It has the health features I'm looking for. Especially since this my first smartwatch and I am starting to get back in shape after many years away. I took several weeks of looking at a variety of watches and companies. I thought Garmin was too expensive, but after I saw a sale on this model with a great warranty I couldn't ignore it. I love the battery, Connect apps and the history of the Garmin name also.
I am an avid runner, a streaker (have run everyday for 19+ years), I do yoga, lift weights and a number of other exercises on a regular basis. The Garmin Venu 2 is perfect for me. It does everything I want for tracking and analyzing my runs, walks and workouts and then some. It really is a the perfect fitness watch.
I've had my Venu 2 for a couple of years now, my first Garmin was a Vivoactive 3. I've generally been happy with Garmin; I wasn't a fan of their big UI upgrade. I'm currently researching to replace it with a model with a bigger display screen and something that can track more movements like hack squats and leg presses, also something that can do more than just track weights and reps. It would be nice, for the price, to have a Garmin watch that offers suggestions or observations about progress to any exercise activity and suggested activities to improve strength and conditioning. Fortunately my Venu 2 still works well and hopefully Garmin will come up with something that, for the price, can offer more 'coaching'.
I mainly bought the watch for the heart-rate monitor, which is slow or does not pick a up a sudden increase in heart-rate. The apple watch does a much better job but you have to charge it every day and I hated the stupid apple watch strap. I can get 5 days out of the garmin with the gps turned off and not connected to a phone. I wouldn't but it again.
I have had this watch for just over a week now. I am enjoying it but finding the navigation very difficult and not very intuitive. Can't wait to fully learn it and get the most out of my Garmin.
This brand new watch lasted 5 months and failed. It started rebooting itself with no fix. Had to send it back to GARMIN, now I get a refurb with only 7 month warranty as replacement. My Fitbit Versa is 6 years old and no problems at all. Going back to Fitbit a reliable smart watch....lesson learned you don't always get what you pay for:(
I purchased this watch two years ago, but since an update last year, it has been randomly switching off. To restart it, you need to connect it to a power source. Once it’s back on, there’s still 50% charge remaining. Despite repeated complaints, the issue has been ignored. The battery was initially good, but it deteriorated significantly after the update. Customer care and Garmin themselves seem indifferent to the problem. I wish I had bought an Apple Watch instead of wasting money on this Garmin garbage.
