The camera alone is reason to buy it

FinallyMe June 29, 2021

I have had this phone for about 3 months. I usually only have to charge it once or twice a day. It has tons of storage and the cameras are the best I have seen. I was able to take a zoomed in picture of the moon and it wasn't blurry or distorted, and it was like it was right in front of you.

A Welcome change from iPhone

Alek305 June 27, 2021

I have had a lot of different SmartPhones in the last 5 years (about 30) from iPhone to Samsung to OnePlus I have tried most modern smartphones and I have to say I finally think we are reaching perfection with the Galaxy s21 aside from a few details everything about this phone is perfect, I really like it and definitely would recommend it to my family and friends

Decent

JWalk November 4, 2021

The biometric unlocks on this phone are complete TRASH. Otherwise everything else so far so good. Just took forever to get somethings transferred from old to new phone. Didn't even move photos, video, or files. Some hours later it finally told me to clear space on old device. But as I said biometric unlocks are a joke and it's incredibly frustrating. I would delete them if I didn't need for some apps which it MOST of the time works fine for, but not for unlocking the device.

I miss my s10

Greg June 28, 2021

I traded my s10 and I'm sad that I did. The reasons are widely known. One, no SD card slot. I've already had to delete several apps just to maintain my memory. Two, no MST. So now I don't even use electronic payment anymore because a few stores I visit don't have NFC payment, and the ones that do I just use the tap feature on my credit card, since I don't have to log in to do so. Three, and this is a big one, while using 5G my phone constantly freezes and it takes forever to load a web page. So I had to turn it off and just use the 4G to prevent the freezing. If I wouldn't have gotten this phone for free with my S10 trade-in I would not have done it. But I still truly wish that I had not. If you have an S10, keep your money and wait for the s22.

Disappointing camera

Mitch December 9, 2021

The whole reason I got this phone was for the camera. I was expecting this brand new incredible camera system, and let me tell you, it's hyped up way too much. If you're taking a photo of people in under lite areas, your photo will be pixilated and washed out If you are taking a selfie, your camera will "fix" your flaws for you and even when you choose the option in settings not to, it still does. If you take a photo of a landscape though, photos are incredible. Taking photos of people, not so incredible. When you send photos to iPhone users, it's so incredibly blurry on their phone. When an iPhone user send me a picture, same thing, sometimes you can even recognize the photo at al. When I send a picture to a Samsung user, it's not nearly as bad as iPhone but it's still blirry and now what it looks like on my phone. Same thing when receiving a photo from a Samsung. So even when you take incredible pictures, you can't send them to anybody. Very disappointed in this system. Can't wait to jump and get something else.

features are a down grade from the s7edge

Terry December 10, 2021

I bought this phone a month ago because my s7edge was no longer being supported. Samsung has removed some of the handy features that we all enjoyed: This phone no longer has tap to answer an incoming call(unless you turn on acceptability mode-then it has an annoying floating icon that stays on each page your enter, now need to swipe to answer, no longer has the LED blinking light to show that you missed a call, voice mail, or text message, no longer has phone jack or sd card ability. the camera is nice and sharp but that doesn't make up for the other losses. in addition, samsung has added more bloatware that you can't remove. the color choices for the s21 5g does not include silver or gold. It is less user friendly in changing various setting that it was before. Many of the settings are not able to be changed. I would rather have kept my s7edge if they were still supporting it. I hope Samsung will send an update at least putting back the light notification, and making changing settings easier. If not, maybe they will put these helpful features back on in two years when my contract is up.

Started good, 3 months later waste of money

Maizecraize December 9, 2021

I've had this phone for 3 months and it's slow, notes keeps locking up and shuffling my notes around. I own a small company and use the Samsung notes for lists, quotes, everything I need to keep track of and now I wanna smash this phone. I'll have an hour into quoting a job or making an invoice and it'll delay 4 seconds before typing my key strokesand then just shuffle.the page around. Always had Samsung but.i think.its time to give apple a shot. It does have a hard screen tho.

Fast phone, terrible with heat

Kjacks8 June 27, 2021

I always had the note series. But I got the tab s7, so I wanted a smaller phone for regular use.. I love the phone design. It feel great in my hand... Unless I'm playing a game. Then the phone gets insanely hot. Want to pop up screen YouTube while playing a game? You're out of luck. This has been the biggest phone mistake of my life. A huge downgrade from the Note10+(usage wise) I never should have traded it in. I'm not sure if it's the processor with the small form factor. Maybe the ultra would have better results. I'd pass on this device if you like to play games. I can't walk my dog in the park and play Pokémon go anymore.

It's ok-ish

DanW January 21, 2022

I thought the S21 would be better than my S8 being new but it is far from it. The response to gestures and typing is slower. The screen is lower quality and resolution. The glass doesn't wrap around and curve. There is no SD card slot. No headphone jack. It doesn't support my Gear 360 camera pod, nor my 360 VR headset. My service provider said I have to upgrade due to the 3G sunset otherwise I'd still be with my S8. I loved that phone. The S21 is ok I guess but not worth giving up my S8. I think I'll keep the S8 running on wifi only for use around the house and just take the S21 with me when I leave the house. It's sad what I've lossed in features "Upgrading" to a new phone. I regret having to buy a new phone. Maybe I'll find something about the S21 that will make it worth it. Crosses fingers.

Headphone jack missing and can't use square

Heather December 13, 2021

I purchased this phone to take great pictures. I also use this phone to process credit cards with square. I have purchased 2 different dongles to plug into the USB-c to have a headphone jack and I can't get the headphone jack to work for processing. I tested my squares with my friends phone since she uses square too. What a useless phone for business! I have had the phone one week and I can't use it for one of the two reasons I have a cell phone. What dongle works with this phone? I need it to process credit cards at shows. What happened to the headphone jack in my phone?
