Love these markers! The colors came out bright and bold on a black chalkboard. It was easy to wipe off whenever I made mistakes. I had tried other markers before these and they were dull compared to the versa chalk. Highly recommend these especially if you're trying to make your sign or your letters pop!
Chalkboard paint pens for chalkboards? Hmmm, liquid markers. Okay, in my small world, I write on a chalkboards with chalk sticks ya know the kind I used to scribble on the pavement with as a kid, just smaller. Well, did you know lots of people use erasable, liquid chalk pens in dozens of colors on a plain old chalkboard? I do now. What a great set of pens, though thick, each had a reversible tip. Pull out the bullet nib and put in the chisel tip. Oh, boy! I purchased these because of the classic earth tones. Then I purchased a set of brighter colors, of course. So now to find a non porous surface...wine glass, a plastic tray, a piece of metal or even a chalkboard. I don't own a chalkboard, yet I had these wonderful pens. This is the kicker...I'm a coloring book enthusiast (Colorist), and I owned a copy of Chalkboard-Style coloring book, the Garden by Deb Strain. Purchased on Amazon. Paper is porous. No where did I see use on paper, But I wanted a chalk effect in this book with its black, chalkboard background. I had considered using pastel pencils for that chalky effect. I didn't...the WIP photo is the result of using liquid chalk pens and a few supplies for blending on ( porous) coloring book paper. No bleed through. It's what I'd hoped for, and got much of it with VersaChalk. Now to find out who sells liquid chalk pens in a fine tip, slimmer version. These are a keeper...good flow after priming, juicy, dries quickly, can be moved a bit when a similar colored pastel pencil is lightly blended on top. Wait 'til the word gets out!
These markers are terrific! We use them on our giant chalkboard menu board of our Cafe. They work well and definitely draw attention. The item is easily removed by using a wet cloth but a magic eraser works best. This is the 2nd pack I ordered and plan on continuing to do so. Thanks for the awesome product!
I've tried at least 5 brands of chalk markers and these are my favorite; not to say there aren't any other good brands. The colors are very bold, even the red and purple (which can typically be hard to see on black boards). I just hosted a Chalkboard Art social for my Life Group and they all preferred these marks over my other sets. I even suggested they trace over some of the other markers with these. This is now my official go to brand.
LOVE these markers!! For whatever reason many people complain about the residual left behind, so I can only assume that they didn't prime their boards. Magic erasers, NOT water removes all traces of chalk and then you re-prime your board and start over.
The only chalk markers I have tried so I can't compare to others, but I love them! They are amazing, vibrant colors and go on so well. There are two different tips that you can use, you just have to take the tip out and turn it around. I like the round tip best. (See pics) The ink is easy to erase with a wet paper towel when you're done with your design, and it comes off clean!
Great, vibrant colors that are adequately opaque! They go on very smooth. Used them on glass and didn't have any problem with the paint "floating" on the surface. On it dried it was very easy to scratch off which can be a good and bad thing. On painted wood, all the colors went on dark the first time except the white which needed a few coats. Only wish they didn't run out so fast. I ended up ordering a pack of just white since I use that one so much. If you mix the colors at all it tints the tip and is a bit difficult to get out which is unfortunate.
Finally, ink that is super bright on a black dry erase board. Didn't give 5 stars because the markers can come unscrewed and then they leak, but it's easy to just tighten them when this happens. Would be better though to have them be permanently fixed as to not let them come unscrewed at all. Otherwise these are great and definitely recommend them.
These Chalk Markers are great! We only had issues with one marker that wouldn't fully fill with the "ink" so it turned out with a line inside of the writing. I only noticed it becasue I was the one who wrote it on it. All in all these things are great with bright colors!
I bought these chalk markers a couple months ago, I wanted to try them a bit before reviewing. They are a bit temperamental at first and the pink one dried out quickly. They write beautifully and are very viberant. They are a little tough to get off the chalk board but with some soapy water and some scrubbing it all comes off, I have also used nail polish remover and that worked like a charm. Over all I am very pleased with these.
