Needs updating
I purchasesd the A1 and the vertical grip. The registration says it's for the A7R. That's wrong as I have the vertical grip for my A7R. This registration should be updated to read Vertica Grip for A1

No longer twisting my hands
Just made the purchase 2 weeks ago and true appreciate the ability to shoot vertically and have the shutter and custom buttons right on the grip. No longer have to twist my hands to accommodate the camera when shooting vertically

A Must Have For The Serious Photographer!
The new a7rIV is an amazing camera but this takes it to an entirely new level.

Solid but overpriced for what you get
I know that camera accessories can be expensive, but this really seems like you're overpaying for what this is. That being said, I do love it. I don't care about the vertical shooting capability, I purchased this for the dual battery bay and the added hand grip for my giant bear paws of hands. I don't keep it attached all of the time but it is nice to be able to add on when I'm less concerned about portability and more focused on comfort and battery life.

Probably need to replace
While in the vertical position the shutter button does not focus. In that position, focus can only be done using back button focus. Sony Pro Support says not serviceable. I have lived with the issue but not sure if it is designed to work this way, so another one may perform differently.
