I was wanting to make a small roast and needed a small rack to do what I wanted. this fit in the disposable roasting pans. great for sharing - when I am cooking meals for others. And people remember to bring them back. durable little racks and they can be used for cooling racks in a small kitchen.
Since I purchased these racks, I use them hard. I have put cookies on them to cool, used them under meat to roast, sat hot dishes on them on a placemat, etc. I love them.
They are good heavy duty metal cooling racks. I would also like to comment on how they were shipped. That was the best product protection for shipping that I have seen. They had 3 layers of protection, shrink wrap and 2 different types of bubble wrap.
I'm pretty happy with these racks—brazed stainless steel construction is durable and should last a long time, and they're easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher. The racks I received are bowed just a little upwards (the middle two feet on both my racks float just a 1/16" off the counter,) and, despite my best efforts, I've been unable to bend them perfectly flat. Nonetheless, this is a minor flaw and does not affect their use. In fact, with any weight, they sit flat wherever they are placed.
These are a little heavier and larger than the ones I have been using. Definitely a must-have for cookie season!
Two. Novice baker. Can use for cookies or cooling multiple things. Use as a rack for raising something in a pan too.
These are stainless steel and grid good in both directions, this giving squares so your food doesn't fall through.
This is an awesome product. Extremely durable and strong. Holds heavy hot dutch ovens or lightweight cookies with ease. Easily cleaned and rustproof stainless steel. Will last for years!
The cooling racks work well. No issues with bread sticking to it. I also used it to cook bacon in the oven. I bought it because it is made out of steel and not coated in something toxic.
measures 12x9 with both racks. each rack is 6x4.5 which is not what is shown in the photo or dimensions listed. Absolutely never buying anything from this brand again.
