Excellent way to keep incision moist without a mess. Easy to apply.
My bichon came inside, having been bitten or stung on her leg! Within minutes, it had swelled and she continued to lick and scratch off the surrounding hair. I quickly sprayed site. She felt relief right away; she left it alone. The swelling reduced quickly after. I sprayed the area again the next day. Problem solved. No vet visit required. I'll never be without it.
This is an amazing product for many different issues from dry, itchy skin to cuts and abrasions and even some fungal & bacterial problems. It helps the skin to heal twice as fast as usual. I run a racing stable and pretty much just carry it around with me all morning.
I wish I would've bought this sooner! Murphy is a hard player and a little hunter that often winds up with all kinds of scratches from the brambles in the woods. His latest wound was a little scratch on his leg, and I figured I'd try this out and see how it goes. It healed beautifully and much quicker than I expected! He had been licking it like crazy before I put it on, and I thought he's keep licking after, but he left it alone! It must've felt better already once I sprayed this on. The gel stayed where I sprayed it and didn't rub off on any of his blankets from what I saw either. I love that this can be used on multiple animal species and isn't harmful if ingested (especially because Murph sometimes likes to lick his feet and legs, especially if he gets a scratch). This is definitely going to be a staple in Murph's first aid kit from now on!
I began using Vetericyn hydrogel when my paralyzed dog developed a wound on his hip. Veterinarians did not hold out much hope that it would heal but one suggested that I apply Vetericyn. Vetericyn saved my dog's life. The wound healed and my boy went on to live an additional two years. Thank you!
After extensive research I decided to try Vetrericyn on my young dogs' irritated skin. She was biting along her lower spine and we noticed she had a large 1"x 4" long area that was no holding hair. The gel worked quick and didn't leave a messy residue in her surrounding hair.
Amazing Customer Service! Both products worked amazingly well!
Has helped my dog twice in his life to heal an allergy on his leg and an abscess both times the vet did not recommend this product but it has been the only thing that has healed him.
My kitty is a very light-colored orange and white tabby. Like most white cats, he sunburns. I’m super-careful about keeping him out of sunny windows, but of course, he loves to sneak a nap on the south-facing. window with his nose to the screen, even if he has to crawl under the window blinds to do so. He ends up looking like his nose, head, and forehead have the measles. Hydrogel helps the itchy red dots of his sun-sensitivity heal faster. Some of it gets licked off, but it isn’t a toxic product. He heals without it, but he heals faster with it. It doesn’t sting, but it does have an (okay) smell. He doesn’t like the sound of the spray, so I spray my palm and put a drop on my finger then on him. I’m glad to have found a non-toxic product that helps.
I absolutely love Vetericyn Plus for my pup who has a hard time fending off skin infections, infections which are often extremely itchy. A few sprays of the product and she is disinfected, stops scratching instantly and smells great. The only problem I have is that the hydrogel sounded like a fabulous idea, so I ordered two, but it was a mistake. I have a long haired Pomeranian and the gel makes it impossible to brush her hair, so I cant use the product. If you have a dog with long hair or one that needs daily brushing, get the original Vetericyn Plus (Not the Vetericyn Plus Hydrogel).
