It started up easily contrary to what other reviewers asserted and it showed up 2 days earlier than expected. The price was excellent and beat other vendor's prices by over 20%. This machine is well built, easily assembled. I'd recommend to to anyone.

Actually this Post Hole Auger is much better than I anticipated. It performed perfectly and started easily. For the price I expected much less. Frankly, I'm amazed it could be profitably manufactured and sold at this price. And much less than 1 1/2 day's rental costs as well!

very well made unit . all attachments fit tight . the unit started after 2 pulls and runs great( they even provide small fuel tank with measurement for 2 cycle oil) . very powerful. used for fence posted and the motor and the auger bit were amazing really dug fast and deep. huge work saver, have to have a really good grip as this unit is quite powerful and when it catches larger rocks and tree roots it can be a hadfull to hold onto . but the the finger throttle is easy to let go of . the earth was a mix of regular dirt and medium gravel with small tree roots , the bit really cut through the roots and rock amazing, and the bit seem to be very hard/strong Metal as it shows no signs of damage after 10 post holes that . i think that impressive . amazing tool for the money .

Overall, this hole digger is great for the price. It has plenty of power to get through all soil types that we've tried, but like any auger, it will stop (or spin you) if there's a large rock or strong root that it can't get past. It's pretty easy to start (couple pulls max) and runs very well. But there some some definite oddities and it's clear where some corners were cut. For the cut corners the most clear one is the throttle housing. It's somewhat easy for it to slip off and become unattached, so you'll be able to start the machine but hitting the throttle does nothing. It's easy to get it back on track, but there's nothing in the design that's specifically to prevent it from happening. The biggest oddity is the exhaust. You really have 2 options: hold it awkwardly and the exhaust blows out the opposite side of you or hold it more naturally, and the exhaust blows directly at you. There might be a way to change where the throttle is to help rectify the problem a little bit, but really - the exhaust should have been downward facing and off to one side - given the handle, it's clear where people will be holding it, and thus, where their body will be. We plan to put in around 50 of the steel Lifetime fence posts, and if this gets through them all at this price, it'll definitely be worth it. It's made it about halfway through without issue thus far. The holes are a great size (and you have two options, depending on how big of post and/or how much concrete you want to use), so quite versatile there. Overall - would recommend for a homeowner doing hole digging from time to time or for a big one-time project. For professionals that would use it frequently, there are likely hole diggers with better overall design and ergonomics.

Works very well initially at a very favorable price, although a bit hard to get started. It does a good job in the proper soil and doesn't try to break your arm. I cannot speak to longevity yet.

.Good value for the price. Only problem was the gear cable and handpull was not tight so i had to jerryrig it to get it to throttle up. It does start up well and has the torque especially with wet dirt its very effective.

I ordered the auger. it arrived quickly and was packed nice. All I had to do was put on the handles. Problem is, the gas tank was squirting out fuel next to the fastener bolt. somebody got too aggressive when tightening it down. i havent given up hope. The reviews are so good I am going to order a new one. I am thankful Walmart has an amazing return policy. Ill review it again after I get the replacement.

Pull strong broke on the 7th start, the plastic nut holder melted, no way to replace. Contacted Vevor and no resolution! When it was running it worked well, but now we can't even start it!

I have been having continued issues with the seller to return this item. I was told to click return button on the Walmart site however for this item that option is not available. Now it's saying it is too late to return the item. Now we are stuck with an item that was never taken out the box or used. I do not recommend buying from this seller.

Throttle cable and trigger cable are not well built or designed. Both Throttle cable and trigger cable broke on the very first run getting wrapped into the auger bit. I hope Seller's Support team will provide the throttle able snd trigger cable to fix the auger before I initiate a return. Will update the comment with the outcome
