Great machine
Got it unboxed, put it together, way beyond expectations. Fine little lathe. Cuts nice appears true and I love it. Wish it had a digital RPM indicator, but other than that it is a great little hobbyist lathe. I would recommend this lathe to anyone. I am in the Railroad hobby, G or 1 scale and this is perfect.

Great little lathe
Great little lathe for making smaller parts. Shipping was fast and the price couldn't be beat. A few things were loose in the woode. Shipping crate but no big deal everything was there. You'll need to dial in a few things to get it running true but if your buying a lathe I'm assuming that shouldn't be too much trouble.

Best mini-lathe deal bar none.
The unit arrived in about 7 days what a nice surprise. The unit was well packed but heavy. It was free of the customary anti-rust grease that is normal. The unit was very clean and free of dirt, chips and grime. I began tuning the unit using many of the video available on youtube. I purchased a beginners kit on line which included a tail stock chuck and found the "chuck to chuck alignment dead on. Speaking of lathe chuck my unit has the 100 mm (4 inch ) diameter chuck. And the motor appears to be the hi-torque version. This was the best deal I could find dollar wise and it was shipped free. All in all this was a very pleasant surprise.

It's still just a toy
it's ok for what it is, a toy, thus the price. It is a good place to start when you are just starting out.

bad switch
forward ) reverse switch is bad. only runs in reverse. other then that it works good

Garbage
The carriage guides were bent, it was missing screws and the spindle tube is so poorly machined that it wobbles cannot be alinged or used. The vendor Deltrue Hardware is no help and keep saying send more pictures and information to the manufacturer. I am attempting to return to Walmart... FYI, I checked out the harbor freight lathe and it much better quality
