It's great. Pretty sturdy. Holds several pounds of feed. Takes the birds a while to get the hang of it, but it can easily be propped open. Should cut down on vermin in the barn.
half the price 75.00 of my first feeder, better built, lift up lid
chickens were afraid of the clicking noise at first but got used to it. I think it will diffinately keep the rat away.
This works really good for chickens. It keeps the chickens' food safe from mice and rats while allowing the chickens to eat as necessary.
This is very convenient when vacationing, the chickens love it
Product as advertised
it's been over a month my chickens will not step on the platform to open it. Even while it's open during training. My chickens live in a barn not a coup, and we are dealing with a rat problem. The rats have no problem getting to the food. The 2 metal plates on the side to keep the chickens from eating from the side are useless. They sit too far back. The lid lifts super easily, if it were adjustable to make not so springy maybe the rats would not get into the food. It does keep the wild birds out. We will continue to train my chickens hopefully one day soon. We are trying to rat proof the barn. In time maybe I will like the feeder.
My chickens are using it but so are mice. They step on the pedestal and jump in. A bit disappointing.
Very cheaply built;it is not a very good product. I would like to return it for a refund.
Chicken still able to waste extra food
