Good bang for the buck. A good beginner lathe. Cant beat the price. It shipped from China and showed up a week and 1/2 early undamaged. Minimal setup. It is a little large for a bench top unit so I made a stand for it. Motor is on the small side but had no problem making a table leg.
It worked fine for about 10 minutes, then the breaker wouldn't reset so I pulled it and wired it together. Then the on/off switch stopped working so it's now hot wired so I have to plug it in to turn it on.
The lathe arrived with a motor that couldn't rotate a 4x4 board, as soon as any chisel touched the wood it would stop.
