Solid tool set. The feel and finish is great mounting them in a steel tool post is ideal and adds to their rigidity but thats not the tools fault. After a full review of these tools my only gripe is that I wish the company would include a spare carbide tip for each tool. The set does come with 2 replacements but all in all I am vary happy with these I would encourage you if your looking to pick up a set of these they are a good price and even came with a storage case.

I am an engineer and inventor and I purchased this bit set for my Grizzly 8"" x 16"" mini lathe. I used 5 of the 7 bits the first day for making a custom sleeve bushing out of mild steel pipe and shortened a gland nut for a hydraulic cylinder. I could easily cut .010"" with any of the bits and the finish of the cut was superb. The only issue I had was when I was trying to use the parting tool on my bigger piece, which was the gland nut. It is about 3"" O.D. with 1/4"" thick walls. I got too much chatter to try to continue with the cut to part .250"" off the end. (I suspect it was my machine rather than the bit, being a small mini-lathe that was the reason for the chatter). The rest of the bits cut flawlessly. It came in a nice storage container, which my wife wanted to take when the package arrived, that includes an extra bit tip, screws and tools. Shipping was really fast. I do recommend these carbide bits as a decent selection to have for your lathe. Good quality set for a very reasonable price.
