I was happy with the price, but it started to collect some rust so I put some naval jelly on it, and then painted with high heat paint. We will see how that works. On the other hand, its nice and easy to start a fire, and you don't smell like smoke.

I love how sturdy it is! It really was easy to start the fire and the clean up was just as great. I am going to make my own lid as this didn't come with one(not a complaint ESPECIALLY for the price). Will update a review in 6 months or so with how it's going

Easy to light and not long to get wood burning good. We used for about three hours. Only problem is hot coals the next day. Had to dump out while hot and used water to put out coals. Bottom does get hot. We used 4 bricks under legs to raise it some.

Great size for family gatherings

We love the smoke free pit and would have given it 5 stars, BUT although they show the firepit on a deck, it scorched ours, even though we had a cement board under it. It actually cracked the cement board. We now have it up on 2 large cement bricks, plus the cement board and it now functions safely. Our deck's boards however are permanently damaged. Thought I would save a few bucks and get a different brand instead of the popular one, and man did I get what I paid for :-( Because of the way this is designed, the heat source will sit VERY low to the ground, which can cause other problems. This thing was smokeless, yes. But it also was so hot it burned through my fire pit heat shield and melted a fire retardant rug underneath. I gave it a second chance with nothing under but just the concrete slab and while it was again smokeless, it also cracked my concrete slab in the backyard. Spend the extra $$$ and get the name brand. I'm definitely returning this.

This is definitely not smokeless!!! Don't waste your money!
