Know what you are getting into before you buy.
I haven't had this for two months, used it maybe 10 times on plastic and aluminum, and the motor already quit! Every nut and bolt was loose. The plastic gears are badly aligned (contact on only half of tooth width). Tool post is at incorrect height, which cannot adjust, and the slide dials rotate from tool chatter. Tailstock comes with a 'dead'-center, not a 'live'-center, and is again vertically misaligned with no adjustment. These issues would discourage a novice user from further pursuing the hobby, as it's nearly impossible to do precision work! With better quality control this would be a great entry level product; currently, this is a project on its own just to get working!
