With this product I was able to quickly and easily convert VGA signals from several older PC's to a new HDMI-equipped TV. It worked immediately without any setup or configuration. Setup took about a minute. On-screen controls were easy to use and allowed me to fine-tune the picture to fit the screen. There was some “ghosting” in dark areas (on a large TV) but overall the picture quality was crisp and clear. The manual in the box advised there was a more complete manual on the website (for more OSD instructions) but I was not able to find one, instead there was just a slightly different version of the same manual with some more basic instructions. I was able to just plug this device in, hook up the required cables and everything just worked. No configuration required other than physically connecting cables. All the cables you might need are included, with the exception of the output HDMI. Video output to the TV I attempted was crisp and clear. There is additional configuration options available if you wish to adjust the input and output settings. I did not find it necessary to alter the settings that the device auto configured. Great Product. Simple to install. Simple one touch buttons to program the settings on it. Great resolution. The only thing needed but not included in the box was an HDMI cable

I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years. I found this unit easy to setup and use. I particularly like the automatic resolution detection that minimizes setup time. The intuitive on-screen menu allows customization of input parameters so you can compare various output options. The unit also features both a 3.5mm and optical audio inputs, allowing you to combine audio into the HDMI output. This unit creates a digital signal at high resolutions that worked flawlessly with the various flat panels and projectors which I tested. These include LG, Samsung, Dell, Optima, Sharp and Vizio. The unit installs quickly. Simple to install and does the job. Perfect for people who have a VGA computer and need to connect to a new HDMI monitor.

I bought this thinking to use with my setup for vintage gameplay capture using MSDOS but it does not support 720x400 resolution and its impossible to access the BIOS computer to make adjustments.

There is only some specific types of input that works in the specified supported solutions. E.g. for 640x480 i managed to find two working monitor preferences in my amiga: productivity and euro72. Non of the interlaced modes works. A bit waste of money at the moment. I will check to see which horizontal frequencies it accepts and then try to find alternative modes. Very disappointed :(
