VH Pineapple Jerk Sauce, 341mL/11.5oz, Jar, 12 Count {Imported from Canada}

I wasn't expecting much as this was a suggestion my local walmart gave me. I followed the recipe on the side of the bottle as well as using it as a dip with some pretzel chicken strips I also ordered on here to see what this could do. I've never had jerked chicken before but pass by two or three on my way to the store. The chicken marinade I did for an hour in the sauce and baked using that recipe it turned out great. The chicken burns up nicely as if it was barbequed yet juicy inside. The flavor starts off as almost a barbecue taste with a rich and complex after taste, brown sugar, orange zest and ginger or cinnamon maybe? Made the rice adding some green onions too and when it was served I put a bit of thyme on the chicken when it was on the plate and a touch of fresh lime juice on the rice. It was very good. as a dip - it's more sweet up front, it has a nice thick viscosity. The flavor finishes off about the same. It has this taste where I feel I've had something like this before from someone else and they didn't call it anything remotely close to this. Either way I'd buy it again if I got sick of my usual routine of meals.
