Appears to be a good product, with a brand that's been around a while. Applied this on top of the VHT Real Red paint I applied first, then a vinyl decal, then clear over both. The car is an EV which doesn't heat up the brakes, so can't comment on heat, but sure looks good.
The spay paint is easy to apply and was exactly what I needed
My go to for automotive projects
Loved it, used it for making a plaster of paris ash tray.
Did my front brake calipers on a 350Z looks good
I bought this to pant my calipers but was unable to do so given the poor quality of this product. The calipers were sanded down to the metal, cleaned with parts cleaner and allowed to dry. VHT primer was used and that's where my issues began. The primer had a hard time adhering to the bare metal of the calipers and it took several coats to get coverage. Primer was allowed to sit for 24+ hours before paint was applied. The paint suffered the same fate as the primer; which was surprising since you'd figure the paint would adhere to the primer without issue. The paint would simply 'melt' away from areas almost as though the primer was resistant to the paint itself. Again, after multiple coats, I managed to get full coverage and allowed the paint to cure for 24 hours before turning the calipers over to spray the underside. I faced the same issues on the bottom half but fought the product and was able to get coverage after 5+ coats. Allowed to sit for 24 hours so paint could cure past the point of being handled. Upon turning it back over to apply the clear, the paint stuck to the cardboard it had been placed on and peeled clean off where the contact points were. Needless to say, I re-painted the calipers while hanging them via wire and applied two coats of clear that bubbled and cracked. To add to the whole experience, the pins inside of the spray heads were too short and required a piece of cardboard to be placed under the trigger for the product to even spray from the cans. Not sure if I managed to get not one but three defective cans but the entire experience was awful to say the least.
