I like it for my chunky mix, which includes bark and perlite. I have a lot of nice pottery, and some of my plants like small pots, so I place some of this inside bigger pots, and then I can put smaller plastic pots inside. These look like rocks but are lightweight, and can actually float in water.
Arrived as expected on time and it's better than other brands. And was little to no dust washed and rinsed and ph is steady in my hydroponic system. Most definitely will order again
The Viagrow product helped my garden, it grew faster and better quality plants than just plain soil.

Exactly what I expected, not dusty, my plants are happy. Great for both my potted plants and for propagating.
Viadrow Viastone is a great product to add to your gardening supplies. The viastone offers a light filler for your flower pots and box beds. They increase drainage without increasing the weight like stone pebbles. In addition they add volume to the pots with reduces the amount of soil needed.
These clay pebbles are ingenious for mulching the tops of pots with. They do a great job, just like actual mulch material would, and the bonus is that they are decorative and look absolutely fantastic. Gives an added punch to your potted plants. When the season is over, you can remove them and save them for use the following year (you can hose them off and let them dry before storing to clean off any bits of dirt).
This product was new to me and I was interested in using it as a soil topper instead of a purely hydroponic plant medium because I read it would successfully retain moisture in the soil and reduce evaporation. I was particularly interested in using it with my Peace Lilies since these are constantly wilting and asking for more water. These clay pellets are pretty consistent in size and are extremely lightweight. They need to be washed well before use but I didn't find them to be very dusty at all and there was just a little bit of sediment in the bottom of the washing tub. They readily absorb water and look great as a soil topper. They can also be reused over and over. I think they will preform well at the job. I can recommend them.
I wanted to give these Viagrow Viastone Expanded Clay Pebbles a try because I have a friend who has used clay pebbles for years when growing his vegetation inside. The results have been amazing. I’ve had this product for a couple of weeks and have only tried out the pebbles with Pothos plant clippings. I have them in a vase filled completely with pebbles but only half the vase is filled with water. The pebbles retain water so the clippings don’t need to be submerged in the water, which could potentially cause them to rot. As of now, the Pothos clippings are doing great and have just begun to sprout some roots. I do a lot of outdoor gardening and plan on experimenting with these clay pebbles in potted vegetables and shrubs. They’re great for being used at the base of a pot filled with soil for added drainage. They are roughly the size of marbles so they may fall out of pots with larger drainage holes. I love that they can be used alone though because they provide the necessary aeration, food and moisture without the mess of soil. I look forward to researching which plants will thrive in these expandable clay pebbles as some may only be able to survive with added soil.
The package lists all these uses, but I think this needs to be strictly used in a planter or something where it's more hidden. I regret that we used it on an open garden space,it didn't blend in at all,so now there's a big ugly clay spot,we had to procure more dirt to cover.
