My cats ,four big lovely Bengal mixed guys,eat when they are hungry,And ,No they are not fat." It frees me from my previous strict feeding times . I would be doing something and kept cognisant of having to run home to feed them. I realized that was unnecessarily nuts,The feeder works having dry food on demand and wet food as a treat when I get home,Less nuts.

I love self feeders for my cats. I adopted two cats that were under weight as the owner lost her home. So both cats are underweight. They ate a lot the first few days here. Now they understand their food is available and they are putting on weight. This works great for me.

Orginally bought the "standard" size which turn out to be much too big for a single cat. This one is a great size and could easily fit the bill for a couple of cats. Would be nice to have a pop open top in order to refill it. It has to be turned upside down and disconnected from the base to put more food in. If it's not empty (just low) it gets a little dicey trying to get all of the unused pieces into the upside down container so when you detach the bottom they don't fall out on the floor.

I was going away for a weekend and needed a way to have food and water available for my cat, so nobody would need to come over to feed him for me. (I bought both a dry food feeder and a water dispenser from this same company). They both were easy to fill and worked great!

i bought this when i went out of town for a few days. It worked very well. Just make sure secure it in place. it doesnt latch in super tight so I used tape to hold the top in place just in case.

Good for are cars. We have 5 and usually only 2 eat at a time. With this food dispensary the bowl part is big enough for them both to eat out of. We like it

I have a total of four of these. The first three are made using thick, sturdy plastic and have a nice lid at the top that pops off to make filling easy. The most recent one uses a new design, with plastic similar in thickness to a soda bottle. The lid is extremely hard to use and has sharp edges. See if you can find one of the old design in your local Walmart store, but I can't recommend the new design. The old lid design is large and curved, the new model has a small square lid.

my kittens use this. Two things I don't like; the food doesn't come into the base very easily. I have to move it down by hand. The lid is difficult to remove for filling

The canister does not lock to the base, so the food spills as soon as the cats bump it. The notch at the back does not snap to the tab on the ring like it is designed to do. I bought this same feeder a few years ago and it was great. Quality is not the same now.

I bought this for outdoor kittens we just got. I needed it for water which one of the pictures shows water in it. It does not work for water. Very disappointed.
