Vibrant Life Holiday Dog Treat Vampire Ham Bone, 8 oz

Ham Bone for my bestest buddy! My Dobie was in smell heaven even before taking the ham bone out of the box and removing the plastic wrapping! I am happy to say, the product is well wrapped! My Doberman acted like he had not been fed in years, when truth be told, he had just finished eating! The ham bone is about seven inches long and stout. I gave him this seasonally flavored Vibrant Life VAMPIRE Ham Bone, and let him outside to enjoy. Forty-five minutes later, he was still gnawing and savoring his treat! Be aware, it is so good, you will not be able to take the bone away (if your bestest is like my dog)! What a treat!

My Husky really loved this bone. I didn't even have it completely opened and he was already so excited ! He chewed on it for quite some time before putting it down on hiss treat plate. Before long he was back at his coffin bone again. This bone has a nice ham smell, my dog is about 60+ lbs. And tore it up pretty fast, according to the package it's actually for more of a smaller,medium dog. So a larger one would be better for larger breeds. I do recommend this bone and so does Hugo.

My husky loves this ham bone. We like to give her treats like this for special occasions so she can celebrate also. This ham bone was for her 6th birthday. She munched on this thing for days. I do give it to her outside as some of bones like this has left dirty marks on our carpet or rugs. You can't go wrong with this ham bone for your bigger dog!

This thing arrived nicely packaged in a cute, coffin-like box. I have a hard time looking at the thing because it looks like a chicken bone, but the dog surely enjoys it, and I guess that is the entire point of the thing, so that makes it a great product. I would definitely recommend this.

This Vibrant Life Vampire Ham Bone Dog Chew, 8 oz, is a huge bone that my little 12 lb dog went crazy for. She started going crazy before I even opened the package. It is a pork femur, that is the ingredient listed on the package. It also states to be careful with broken pieces so I am keeping an eye on her. Might have to take it away then give it back later because there is no way she is finishing this today.. definitely recommend.

These ham bones are nice and simple- the only ingredient listed is "pork femur," which is comforting considering some of the alternatives. The bone comes wrapped in plastic inside a decorative box. If ham bones are new to you and your dog, I would recommend opening the plastic somewhere you don't mind bits and crumbs falling out since some likely will fall. The ham bone is a little oily to begin with, and as your dog chews, it can become gummy. Outdoors is probably the most desirable location for this treat. The directions on the back of the box suggest supervision, and I agree with that since you never know how the bone will break off when chewed. I let my dog chew for an hour or so, and then put it up to force a water and jaw rest break. Overall, I definitely recommend these bones as a treat for any dog who needs a treat.

My beagle seemed to really enjoy this bone but my chihuahua wasn't interested. I personally did not like the smell but my beagle did. I let him chew on it for 10 minutes at a time but then he buried it somewhere in the yard. He will dig it up and chew on the bone dirt and all like he has other treats he wants to hide.

I am reviewing the Vibrant Life Vampire Ham Bone for small and medium dogs. This is supposed to be seasonally spiced. Is it pumpkin spiced-flavored like everything else in the fall? I guess this is the Halloween treat for the dog who sees his human eating Halloween candy. I have a 10-pound Toy Poodle. He was not interested in this bone at all. I found this rather strange because he usually goes for the bones when we present one to him. I can only guess that the seasonal Halloween seasoning is not to his liking. As usual, when I asked him for a critique or some assistance with this review, he failed to give me any meaningful comments. I did notice the packaging is shaped like a coffin. So, I get the marketing angle for Halloween: A vampire bone in a coffin-shaped box with a cellophane window. Too cute. But my dog did not attack the bone so it may go into the garbage tomorrow. Maybe your dog will be different. I myself am not brave enough to put the bone in my mouth and find out what the seasonal spices that were applied to the bone.

This is the very first time I have had to give a negative review on one of my requested items from the Spark Review. This ham bone for dogs was a disappointment. First of all, when I removed it from the cellophane wrapping it came in, it smelled a little rancid, like old oil. I slowly introduced it to my dog, but found out it was pretty greasy and my dog showed little interest in it, probably because of the way it smelled, like old oil. There is no way your dog can use it in your house because of the greasiness. Would have to be used outside for sure. It was a good size so not fit at all for smaller dogs. Would I purchase this item? I have to say absolutely not. Maybe someone else might have a better experience with it, but my experience was very negative.

My dog gnawed on this for about 20 minutes, then wouldn't eat anything and she had diarrhea for a day. For my dog not to take a treat, she must be sick. The bone itself is sticky and smells horrible, but she wanted it. I gave it to her - big mistake. There wasn't any other changes to her diet or daily routine other than this bone.
