The Vibrant Life Eco-Friendly Turtle Tough Buddy was a tremendous hit with my sweet poodle. She took it and hid it under the bed so that she can have it all to herself! I love that it is eco friendly! It's very hard however, but I guess that means longer lasting. Anyway, get one and check it out. Your pup will love it!
Let me start by saying that this toy is perfect because it comes from recycled bottles so I know at least I am doing good for the earth. As far as the toy itself it is the perfect toy for my dog who is a heavy chewer but cannot chew down this toy. She seems to love the flavor as well because she has not dropped it since I gave it to her. If you have a dog who lives to chew and tear things apart than this toy will do the trick and keep them occupied for a while
My dog is what you would call a super chewer. He gets a toy and chews through them within minutes most times. I was so excited to try this toy with him. While he doesn’t play with it often because he prefers toys that have treats in them, he did play with this one longer than I thought. I took a picture of the toy before I gave it to him to play with because now it is more scratched up! I also love that this toy is made from recycled bottles. I am all for helping out the environment!
This was the heavy duty one. I gave it to the dogs in the back yard and now I can't find it. I don't know if they ate it or buried it. Maybe a spook came and got it. They had some fun with it before it disappeared though. Real hard plastic from recycled bottles.
What a great idea! Recycled water bottles made into tough chew toys for dogs! Both of my dogs carry this turtle around and chew on it! It does have a nice heft to it. It is thick enough to last a while. My 2 dogs are 50-55 pound dogs and one is an extreme, professional chewer! Luckily he only chews his toys!
This kept my dog entertained for hours, and also saves my shoes! The design is really cute, it actually fits our house beach theme!! The turtle design is very intricate and I love that it's recycled, makes me feel like I am giving back.
My dog can chew through anything in half a second. He has not managed to chew through this yet, it is very durable and he is keen on destroying therefore it is his new favorite toy.
The toy is well made but unfortunately my dog did not care too much for it. I do have to say that my dog is picky with her toys but the toy is super cute and I loved how well made it is
Don't even bother with these if your dog chews harder than a yorkie! Within 10 -supervised- minutes, my two dogs were pulling huge chunks of thin plastic off, like way more than you normally would with a hard nylon chew. It seems like the recycled plastic is shredded and compressed together, similar to particleboard, and separates very easily. Not safe for dogs at all :(
I don't leave a lot of reviews but felt I had to say something about this product...I really wanted to like it because of the environmentally friendly aspect, but it didn't last 5 minutes with our 17 lb, 7 month old mystery mix puppy. I bought it because we quickly discovered she is a power chewer, and I thought with how solid it felt it would be a good match for her - but there were quickly layers of plastic coming off of the wings and we were worried she would swallow them (see picture), so bye bye turtle. There was also a little blood on it when we took it away from her, something that has rarely happened with all the "extreme chewer" nylon bones she's had.
