Consistent readings. Reads warmer than our forehead thermometer, as expected. Detected a fever when the other did not. Recommend using a dab of lotion with use for lubrication. Caused some discomfort when we didn't.

We have bought this thermometer twice (because we lost the first one) and wouldn't buy another. When the first one was lost, I tried to use the Safety First thermometer and couldn't get a good read because my sick baby was miserable and squirming. With this one, he just lay still across my lap and didn't mind at all. We got very consistent temperatures when he was well and we were trying it out. I have heard that you can't get it wet, hence the lower durability rating. But we haven't gotten it wet (except obviously the tip), and it has held up fine.

I really like this thermometer! It is very easy to use, fast and accurate! But for a rectal thermometer, I wish it was a little more water resistant! I tried to wash it and got a little water on the top of it and the screen filled up with water and now it is not working. For the price, I will be buying another one though, just be more careful with the water!

This was great for being a first time parent. I had a regular thermometer and was so afraid he was going to wiggle to much and I would hurt him with it so I saw this at wal-mart and bought it and am very pleased with it. I no longer have to be afraid of it going in to far because it can only go so far. My son is now 19 months and I still use it.

The Vicks Pediatric Baby Thermometer was purchased as one of several items purchased as gifts for my daughter. She was pleased with the purchase and believes that it will come in handy. She has not had an opportunity to use the thermometer yet. It appears however, to look very easy to use. GREAT price!

This thermometer is a very good value! I paid less than $15. It isn't very high tech but again only $15! I take comfort in the fact that it has a guard that prevents you from going too far in when using it rectally. My son who is 8 months old doesn't seem to mind it much.

love this little thermometer! easy to use and clean, I love how compact it is instead of being long and skinny.

I was terrified as a new mom to check my babies temperature this way, and because of the bulb shape it was a whole lot easier. I used to be afraid to go to far or hurt them and this way I did not have to worry as much when he was wiggling around. Works great - always has been real accurate temperature wise and still working after 16 months.

Stopped working after using maybe 5 times.
