We chose this for its humane and simplistic method of ridding the house of mice!! So easy to use and reset. And very effective!!! Every fall since discovering Victor Electronic Mouse Traps, we pulls these puppies out (we live in an old farmhouse) and we get rid of all the little stinkers before they start to multiply in the basement. LOVE THEM.
With the start of cold weather, I noticed lots of mouse poop. I was using those sticky traps which work great but I was tired of squishing heads before putting them in the trash. I bought 2 of these and the first night I got 5 of them! No more listening to them squeaking when they get stuck on the glue trap. Little light blinked to show me I got one, dumped it, and reloaded bait. These things are awesome!
The neighbors cat comes to visit so poisons aren't an option at our house. Super easy to know when a mouse is in it and super easy to empty by just opening the latch and dumping it.
this is a great trap that works perfectly. however I have had to contact Walmart over both orders because I have only received 1 trap each time. Customer service has taken care of the problem but the fulfillment center needs to fix their end.
Seem to work great. I've caught two mice so far. Both were caught in the same trap. The other trap hasn't caught anything yet, but it might just be a placement issue. My only issue is that one of them zapped the crap out of my hand when I turned it on, make sure you don't turn it on while holding it. A suggested improvement would be a more frequent flashing of the LED light when a mouse has been caught.
We thought we might have a mouse or chipmunk in our basement when a bag of walnuts had a large hole cut out of it and there were those rice shaped black pellets nearby. So we bought this mouse trap, put the peanut butter and batteries in it, and placed it next to the wall as the directions instructed. We haven't caught anything with it but it's only been a few days since we set it up. We're waiting for the green light to go on letting us know the mouse has been trapped. We're glad we won't have to see a dead mouse on our floor. It is fairly simple to set this trap up. We like that a light will shine to let us know its job has been done. We just can't say yet if it actually works.
This item worked very well so I ordered two more. It was shipped via FedEx and it still has not arrived. Please do not order anything that has to be shipped through FedEx. I would try to buy it in person or get it delivered.
I bought 4 of these. Two here and 2 from Amazon. I didn't get what I ordered, the compartment wasn't removal. No "see" no touch is a lie. The light never blinked like it is suppose to when it gets one, I check them daily. I had to smell the stink to know I had one in there. I washed it out like it said and the smell wouldn't go away. And on their site, those with the removal chamber don't exist. and the extra chambers are sold out and can't be found. But I will say it did kill the mouse, but not worth $20-$30. $5... maybe
The previous model was far better: It had two segments ... one with the electronics, and the other was the trap housing. They could be separated, which made cleaning MUCH easier and safer. This newer model is all one housing. I DREAD when I will need to clean these things.
I did not receive the correct item. I specifically ordered an electronic mousetrap that has a REMOVABLE **** chamber, as it was advertised. I received the wrong model number that does not have a removable chamber -- it is all one piece.
