Ignore the negative reviews! They are wrong in this case. I don't normally leave reviews, but when something works better than expected or has a bad rating I will do so. I caught three mice the first night. The door is easy to open and dump the mouse out. If you can't get the door off, you're doing it wrong. Also, they're easily reset and they're back in service now. Plus they're for mice, not rats so don't expect them to be big. Now I caught and released my mice in realtime so if you're planning on leaving them in there then yeah, they probably will destroy the trap. Hopefully this helps if you're on the fence about purchasing.
These Victor Live Catch Traps look very promising. They are easy to bait and the setup is simple, the instructions were clear and quick. The clear plastic design seems effective for checking the trap without opening it. These feel well-made and are exactly what I needed for a humane way to deal with pests.
These work great with a teeny bit of cat food. Don't use peanut butter. They r very small and fit in small spaces, I keep them in the closet so the cat doesn't get in them. After the mouse is caught, they try and scratch their way out so my cat alerts me that they are there. I drive them to a field 2 miles up the road and place them in a protected spot.
Great trap for mice. They are very small traps. i have had the most luck by hiding the trap in a box or container. Once i got the hang of opening the back door to let the mouse go, and re-baiting the trap, it is very simple. I am getting 2 more of these traps.
These Victor catch and release mouse traps would be my choice for primary mouse catching. They are small and can be tucked into little spaces. They clear she'll lets me check them for a mouse with just a glance. Setting and baiting them is easier than the traps that snap and kill the mice.
This mouse trap comes with very easy to understand instructions but also has a QR code for additional instructions. I like that it is a humane way to capture but not kill a mouse. I like to keep these in my garage in the winter when the mice like to try to find a warm place to borrow and also try to eat into my bag of bird seed.
These are great little traps! They are humane and don't kill the mouse. They are extremely easy to set up and don't hurt if I accidentally trigger it on my finger. If the mouse has a long tail it may stick out the end under the flap, but it's not so aggressive that it would harm it.
I left my side door with a large gap on the bottom open on a sunny day. I know better. My cat woke me up at 4 a.m. crashing around the kitchen. I bought the trap, set it (don't even need instructions---easy!!). Had the mouse before bedtime. I released it the next a.m. No more messy, dead bodies to deal with. No more getting snapped trying to set a trap. !! I love this trap. AND I love that Walmart delivered this on the same day that I ordered it.
I have a shed that had several mice in them. I do not believe in using a glue trap as they are just torturous. I don't like mechanical mouse traps that kill them. I opted for a live trap to set them free. the first 5 days I caught nothing however I could see the mice everywhere. I finally caught one baby mouse and took him to the field to release. I did not catch anymore. the trap itself is so light weight that they on now something is not right. I had one that actually pushed the trap around. I do not recommend these traps
The first night, the mouse got caught but then proceeded to destroy the trap. He chewed through it and broke the spring and escaped. The second night I used the other trap, this time he still chewed through the plastic and broke it but this time the door closed on him so he couldn't get out. I don't if have super mouse or what but I had to throw away both traps after one use. Pics show where he chewed through the plastic.
