Used it to unalive a rat that was pestering my RV roof. Took a while to catch it, due to rats being very cautious with anything new in their environment but eventually its curiosity got the better of it. Took about 2 weeks. . It wasn't pleasant for the rat.

Easy to bait and safe to arm. Brilliant design easy enough I'd trust my five year old or my wife to set it. Haven't caught anything yet but nothing has come for the bait either.

The rat trap works well. It is extremely easy to bait. It is also very easy to operate. I like the idea of more humane traps in this fits the bill. The packaging indicates that it's safe around children and animals which is something that I need. All around, I would recommend this trap to others.

I am elderly and needed help getting this trap set. I cannot imagine how much force will be used to crush what falls prey into this trap. I do recommend this rat trap but I don't recommend anyone with a very small dog to have this trap in an area where they can get to it. I am rating it with full five stars.

Victor safe-set rat trap is very easy to use. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. If you have seen the rat and it is larger than a kitten, I would recommend something larger. Otherwise, this would work for small rodents and pests. It does not come with any poison but loading into the bait cup is fool proof and will trap a rodent for disposal and re-use.

I'm impressed by how well this rat trap works! It's super easy to set up and use, you just have to bait it with a little peanut butter, place it in areas with rat activity and wait. The Safe-Set design is great, as it allows me to set the trap without worrying about accidental activation around children and pets. It is also reusable, which makes it a great value.

I can't wait to try this Victor Safe-set Rat Trap. I've lived in my home for 32 years and never saw a rat until last year. I walked into my garage to see they had torn open two bags of grass seed, between the grass seed and droppings everywhere I was horrified. Normally I would look for a product that would be a catch and release but when it comes to rats I am good with a quick humane kill. Rats carry diseases and having them in my house/garage is not an option for me. I like the bait trap on the underside, this makes setting the trap up so easy.

First off I want nothing to do with a rat that big!! But I don't even like mice. We use these for chipmunks that like to dig around our house and destroy things. As long as it's big enough to set the trap off, it's not getting out, even if it just catches the tail. Recommend securing with a string tied to something sturdy so your trap doesn't disappear.

Finally caught the rat after months of trying, and it did not kill it. The rat was screaming and struggling to free itself. It was a very horrible experience.
