I bought this to get rid of pesky squirrels. Although I cannot say for sure it is working (because I cannot hear it), the squirrels do seem to have gone away. Hard to say if this is due to the device or the natural behaviour of the animals. The only evidence that it is working is a red light that slowly fades on and off. I suppose one has to trust that it is working if one sees the red light. It does not seem to bother the dogs any. One time, though, after I had set it up, I did see one squirrel lurking about, as if he did not care about the device. Since then, I haven't seen any more.
I hate mice and rats! My husband stores his lawn equipment in our garage. We do not store any food items out there...but we would find dropping out there. We have used traps...and while they work...you have to dispose of the rodent. Uck! By using this device...we haven't seen anymore dropping! It makes for no rodent clean up. We just plugged it into an outlet placed it on a shelf thats about 3ft. off the floor and it does all the work.
We have tried all kinds of things to get rid of mice in our home. Especially when it gets closer to winter. We have used mouse traps, glue traps and poison. We prefer to not use poison because we have small dogs in the house. We started using this repeller about 2 weeks ago. I can honestly say that we have not seen any more mice since. We had one in particular that kept getting in our pantry but we have not seen it since. I do wish it could go through walls and doors so we don't have to keep the pantry door open but that is a minimal issue as long as it is working. We are wanting to buy some more to put in other parts of the house. I like that it does not affect our little dogs due to the nose it is supposed to be putting out. I would highly recommend this product!
I have to say I was skeptical about this gadget. For years we have dealt with mice moving into our garage in the fall. I hate using traps because of having to deal with disposal. I have to be careful of using poisons because I have found dead mice in my back yard and we have cats in our neighborhood and we also own dogs. One year the mice carried poisoned pellets into our dog food! When the mice move in it is noticeable right away. Droppings on the shelves and work bench. Its disgusting. I have had this plugged in for a couple weeks. So far I have seen no sign of any mice. Seems too good to be true but they definitely would be here by now. I was worried about it effecting my dogs but it does not seem to bother them. I also had a couple birds that decided to move into the soffit on the side of the garage. They are gone too. I can hear a slight buzzing from it but it has to be really quiet in the garage to hear it. Very happy with this product.
I had been using a 2-speaker Pestchaser Pro acquired earlier this spring; decided at first sign of vermin activity in attic to go all-in by adding this 3-speaker version. With both Pestchasers setup, I'm basically blasting a surround sound to all corners of the attic from a centralized location, putting an end to annoying scratching on ductwork.
I received the Victor Ultra Sonic Pest Chaser Rodent Repeller from the Spark Reviewer Program. I live in the country so we have had a few mice usually just confined to the basement area but this past year some of them have snuck upstairs. I plugged this Rodent Repeller in and it seems to be keeping the mice away. I have not seen any evidence of mice since I started using this product. I am sure that if I unplug it they will come right back so I just keep it plugged in down in the basement at all times. This is a lot cleaner and more humane than having to use the old mouse traps that kill the mice so that makes me happy.
I was very pleased to be given the opportunity to review this product at a time of the year when rodents in my area seek warmer accommodations inside a home... Using a device like this to deter rodents from entering my home as opposed to using toxic chemicals and/or or traps to kill them is, to me, a very acceptable and welcome alternative...It's being set up in my garage since that seems to have been the point of entry for rodents in the past. Hopefully, I won't find any tell tale signs that this product is not effective.
This Victor Ultrasonic Rodent Repeller is an electrical unit for indoor only, not to be use outside. And it needs 110V AC outlet. It comes with very easy instructions. This unit is for rats, mouse's, do not use on squirrels, hamsters, gerbils, Guinea pigs, rabbits or ferrets. There saying its save to use around dogs and cats. You just find a good spot to place it then plug it in and turn the off and on button on. It's made of plastic but seems durable.
First , I have no way to know if this product works to chase away rodents. I have no signs of rodents in my house and to report it works would be impossible. However , I can review that the device is large for a rodent chaser. It has three speaker facing opposite direction and are about the size of an 8 ounce soda can top. it is easy to connect and power up if you can find a place to put it.I would not recommend this product simple for the size and inability to find place in my house to plug it in and let it stay.
Recently we noticed what appeared to be droppings under the sink basin in our laundry room. Of course this was disturbing to me but even more disturbing was that my husband was going to buy one of those "electrocution traps". Horrified at the thought, I suggested we try the Victor Ultrasonic Repellant first. We have a cat and was concerned that she would run away. Actually, after looking at the size of the unit, I thought all of us would run away (lol). Since cleaning up and installing, we haven't seen anymore droppings. We also haven't had any adverse reactions to the device. While it's too soon to tell (winter's coming), I would recommend this unit from what we have experienced so far. Makke sure you have an outlet nearby as the cord isn't that long.
