I have had this for about a year. I take it on our trips with some records for us. I also use it to test out thrift records etc. For the money you get a lot. At first I was Leary of the winstar plastic turntable used in many suitcase players. It's been completely fine and even came with a very nice heavy rubber platter mat. The unit comes with a very good 3600L cartridge. It tracks at 3.5 Grams and also has factory set side bias or more commonly called anti-skate. The sound is rich and has bass that satisfies. The battery lasted me about 10 hours. This unit has RCA built in preamp outputs to hook to an external speaker or stereo input. You can stream to your Bluetooth speakers OR you can stream to the Revolution and use it as a long running on battery BT speaker. I recommend this to anyone. It's a good product. At least the one I got has been. Only con is the plastic top is very thin. No problem so far however.
Great way to get into playing music on vinyl. Works as it should and sounds great as a basic setup. I love the portability and am using it more than I would with a static component setup. I also like the headphone jack and bluetooth connectivity. Battery lasts long, though I wish it was more accessible to change for a new battery if ever needed. Playback has been crisp and clear with no distortion. No issues with skipping or speed variability - it does what it is supposed to, better than it should be!
I just got the Revolution GO and tbh I was really surprise by how good it sounds, especially at that price point. Also, the Bluetooth is an awesome addition and the fact that it was super easy and straightforward to get set up and listening to music was a huge bonus. I love how clean and simple the design is as well and the sounds/haptics that go along with the functionality were really nice.
It's okay for a "starter" record player, but it takes several minutes to connect to bluetooth which is a bit annoying. Also, you have to reconnect to your device EVERY time you turn on the player (most devices connect automatically). Plus, the machine itself is a bit cheap quality. And remember that you can't close the lid without removing your record.
I love the sound quality and the portability. The rechargeable battery is a great idea. But I've had three. The first one worked great so I ordered a second one. It also worked great. I gave the 2nd one away to my niece for her college graduation and ordered a third. The third one showed charging and then the charge light turned off. When I unplugged and tried to use it, it was dead. I tried all kinds of trouble shooting and it will not turn on via battery OR being plugged in. I would have accepted the plugged in option but out of the box it has never worked. Then, two days later, the original one that I got did the exact same thing after charging. It just died and will not turn on anymore, even when plugged in. I used the charger cord that it came with so that should not have been a problem. I had originally recommended it to a friend who ordered one and the exact same thing happened. The record player charged bit never turned on even while using the plug in option. So, is in my experience, as much as I really do LOVE this record player, with only one in four working ( and there is no telling when my nieces will die, if it does) I can't recommend this turntable. It's disappointing because it is so versatile, unique, and has such a great sound.
This was a Christmas gift. Didn't even last a week. It will not charge now. IDK if it's the internal battery or the charger
I want to like this so much. But as soon as it was taken out of the box I realized it was dead so I plugged it in to charge and immediately realized it had the same charging issue many others have had. It won't hold a charge and only works somewhat when plugged in. But it doesn't seem to get enough power for the platter to spin so you can't even listen to your vinyl when plugged in. The Bluetooth did work just fine and sounded good. The rest of this product, at least with this specific one, was unfortunately useless junk and I hope I can get one that actually works. Not to mention the exterior box and product box were both damaged upon receiving.
I came smashed in. I couldn't use it.
I am beyond frustrated with this product. I really wanted to love the Victrola Revolution Go because of its design and portability, but the quality control is nonexistent. This is the second unit I have purchased, and both arrived with a dead battery. Just like the first one, the charging light turns red for a second and then disappears. The battery refuses to take a charge, meaning the "portable" record player only works if it's plugged into a wall socket. It seems there is a serious issue with the lithium batteries sitting in stock for too long. I've now spent time and money on two different units, and both are essentially paperweights. I don't want to return it for a third time; I want a product that actually works. Victrola, please reach out and provide a real solution for this known issue. Buyers, beware of the battery problems.
I've ordered 3 of these machines from 2 retailers. All 3 machines had the same issue: the battery wouldn't charge, and even while plugged in, the record player wouldn't play for more than 10 seconds. Note: I live in Belgium, so I can only assume that the machines from those retailers (all very respectable, by the way) all come from the same warehouse filled to the brim with defective machines. My guess: the cheapest type of battery that just can't handle not being used for more than a few months. Victrola support didn't take me very seriously either, stating that they "have not had other customers complaining of such a problem." Well, I'm sorry for "complaining" about an expensive machine that doesn't even work! I like the concept of the Revolution Go, but a concept is worthless if it can't be delivered. I hope I can one day get a rechargeable record player that does work, that would be great!
