Works as it should and is in perfect condition.
Got one for myself initially, got two more for the kids! For the price and the nostalgia that comes with its a great buy! If you have hardwood floors or anything hard surfaced I'd definitely look into the case and they make grips kinda like the Wii grips that go on the outside for better stability and comfort. The warranty is cheap and well worth it also! 👍
We bought a cheaper version of this first, but this one is much better. The first one we bought is half in Chinese. The games on this one are better and the graphics are much better!
love it it has nice selection of rpgs gifting it to neighber whos been helping me with my disablty problems and yes folks its a real r36s not the clone that many folks get only wish it had ff7 on it and grandia good rpgs suprised to see sega sataern on it.
This device is incredible. If you enjoy retro gaming this is the one to get. Easy to navigate. Easy to use. Very responsive controls. Would definitely recommend.
My 10 year old son came to me with $76 from his “safe” and said I want this. I looked at reviews and told him I didn't think it was a good buy, but it was his $ and his risk. THIS IS AWESOME! I'm letting him keep his $ cuz I love it! Literally every game you played as a kid, love it. Ha he told me with his money I can buy my own. I'm just going to play his while he's not home. I would caution to charge it for a while before turning it on tho. Idk why, but we read reviews that said it's a must so we did and it's working perfectly.
It's a fun device with tons of games of it, but my husband was looking through all of them because my 11 year old son bought it. However, THERE ARE PORNOGRAPHIC GAMES on this device. Be aware if you buy it for your kid and figure out how to block or hide them. So frustrating that that would be on there.
Had some problems immediately out of the box. The screen protector came VERY pre-scratched and full of air bubbles. Not unusable but very noticeably an issue while using the device and I'm considering just taking the screen protector off and using it without one. I've already spent more time troubleshooting issues with it than actually using it. Randomly got an issue where the fast scrolling with the shoulder buttons stopped working, had to manually find a fix for that which in and of itself took *hours*. Battery life seems not bad but not great and charging it is a bit more of a hassle than I'd like. You can't use a fast charging cable otherwise the battery will explode in a ball of fire and it's a good thing I found that out before using one for too long. If you're reading this, just use the cable it came with. This is something I SHOULD have figured before purchasing given how affordable the device is but I've come to find out the SD cards used are prone to failure and I'm better off buying my own, the issue here being learning how to actually set that up because you apparently have to "re-image" the device to do that, whatever that means. Either way I suspect I'll have to purchase a new SD card in the probably near future. The device is much smaller than I thought it'd be and feels way lighter and fragile than I was expecting, especially the weight, it seems to have barely any at all. Now that being said, its size is comparable to a GameBoy Color so I shouldn't be shocked, the picture used in advertising just makes it seem larger. Small complaint, but I wish there was a way to bind hotkeys on certain emulators like mGBA (such as fast forward or save/load stating) without pressing the "Turbo" button. This is an option on the PC version of these emulators so I'm really not sure why it's not on here; but especially in the case of fast forwarding it renders the ability to do so on these emulators completely impossible. Which, at the end of the day, I guess is fine, I just don't know why the option is there at all. All that being said, the device is actually very fun to use when you can actually use it, and feels very similar to using a GameBoy Color especially when playing pre-2000 games on it. I unfortunately can't recommend other people buy it because in truth, I wish I hadn't done so myself due to the trouble I've already had and the trouble I'm sure to have with it in the future, but if you don't mind any of the issues and potential issues I've described here then it's a very fine budget device for emulating some of your favorite or even forgotten retro games.
Didn't work right out of the package was told to return to Walmart they refuse to take my return as I bought from there website and ot was a seller on Walmart site not Walmart. Don't buy this item it is not working. They wont refund you and say they can't as you order is not delivered the same day you order. Just weeks later delivered and don't work.
I bought this from passion imports. its not the upgraded R36S handheld but a clone . it does not have the arkos software installed. It also did not come in the original factory seal nor the screen protector these normally come with and I am therefore concerned i may have gotten someone else's return.
