This is a great gift for older children who love arts and crafts. It has all the essentials they need to start out learning how to sew. It even has a booklet of craft ideas to help them get started. Our 13 year old daughter loves this and enjoys making small craft projects with it.

I would have given it a five star review, but the cord for the foot pedal is a couple of feet to short to reach the floor.

Wondering why there is instructions on how to make a stylish "marijuana belt" in-between the hair accessories and dresses. VERY inappropriate for my 12 year old. This company should know better.

Love all the stuff that comes with it, but myself and my husband are experienced in sowing and we could not get this thing to work. Maybe ours was a dud but all the stuff was great for a kid just wish it worked.

the first time my daughter pushed the foot pedal it started running and didn't shut off when she released the pedal. from that point on it ran from the instant thebpower was turned on and won't stop. it is very unsafe. noone shoukd buy this piece of junk.

its a great value Do Not get me wrong... AS LONG AS YOU USE THEIR FABRIC! as soon as ypu go to put something that is actually thinner than their fabric it messes up. i really want to return it how it is

Returning is a hassle but I'll probably end up doing that. I wish someone had left this review before I bought it to save me the time and money. So here is your warning.

I bought this for my 8.5 yr old granddaughter. she picked up on the skill very quickly on my machine. She was just as quick to give up on this piece of junk. It's not worth your time. For a few dollars more, get a "real" sewing machine. Nobody could learn to sew on this toy that only halfway works. It skips stitches. The tension is impossible to adjust. Even the thread is cheap.

The machine wouldn't work properly from the start. If you plug in the foot pedal 3/4 of the way in, the machine takes off sewing.

This is terrible. I bought this item twice. The top thread doesn't like on the other thread. I just bought it for two days. I thought I was doing it wrong but three people tried the thread wasn't catching at all.
