A great starting sewing machine for a nine-year-old to begin learning to sew. She lovef it from the beginning immediately. It has a normal speed and a slow speed for beginners to better handle the materials being sewn. They will need some assistance threading at the first few times. The safety attachment to keep their little fingers away from the sewing needle is great.
use it for small sewing projects- hemming pant legs I also use it to make adjustments to my doggies clothes easy to use- instructions are easy to follow dreaded threading the needle I have glaucoma did it with ease!
Bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Xmas. Like that it came with all the threads, fabric, sewing needles, foot pedal, project book and lots of other stuff. She likes it a lot!
Wondering why there is instructions on how to make a stylish "marijuana belt" in-between the hair accessories and dresses. VERY inappropriate for my 12 year old. This company should know better.
This machine could have been really useful, but it broke after a few hours of using it. And because it is a mini machine, you can't reach the little spots to fix it. It was fun while it lasted but just buying a full size machine would be more worth it.
The threading through the tension spring causes the thread to get stuck in between the metal which in turn causes too much tension and the thread jams, breaks, knots up and causes a mess.
its a great value Do Not get me wrong... AS LONG AS YOU USE THEIR FABRIC! as soon as ypu go to put something that is actually thinner than their fabric it messes up. i really want to return it how it is
The machine is a complete waste of time and money. The bobbin doesn't stay threaded, and the machine has barely any power to sew through only 2 layers of material. Every time I would make a stitch...2 inches away from the start....the thread would bunch up and made the material bunch up as well. I wasted more time rethreading and getting set up to sew than i did actually sewing.
I didn't particularly have high expectations for this, but the machine died on me after just a few uses. died, or just doesn't want to motorize the needle when its powered on, after several attempts to fix my tensioner- which i likely messed up something there. either way i can't use the machine days after i started using it. thread is bad, only good thing is the scissors.
I bought this for my 8.5 yr old granddaughter. she picked up on the skill very quickly on my machine. She was just as quick to give up on this piece of junk. It's not worth your time. For a few dollars more, get a "real" sewing machine. Nobody could learn to sew on this toy that only halfway works. It skips stitches. The tension is impossible to adjust. Even the thread is cheap.
