Vita 144"L x 144"W x 104"H Vinyl Camelot Louvered Pergola, White, VA42070

HUBBY AND I DECIDED A PERGOLA WOULD ENHANCE OUR OUTDOOR TIME. SO WE PURCHASED THE VITA REGENCY PERGOLA. IT WAS A GROWN UP LEGO ADVENTURE, BUT WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE OUT COME. IT ENHANCES OUR DECK/HOME AS WELL AS GIVES US MORE COMFORTABLE OUTDOOR TIME TO ENJOY OUR LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN IN WEATHER FICKLE INDIANA!!

The product was easy to assemble and I constructed it myself. But I have to say it started off rough as FedEx (not Vita!) delivered my pergola to a different address and I could not find it. So, I called Vita and after unsuccessfully trying to get FedEx to find it, Vita sent me ANOTHER pergola that I received just in time before the long LaborDay weekend. This allowed me the time necessary to get it constructed! So, Vita really came through for me in a BIG way! I couldn't be more pleased! Vita was awesome to work with!

We put our pergola on the deck. We set the 4 posts 4 weeks ago, and don't you know, one post twisted like a candy cane. There is enough room inside each post sleeve to accommodate imperfections, and still look perfect. 4 Guys took 6 hours to assemble.. Get 8 foot step ladders., make sure your 2 X 6 are straight., .

Package arrived timely in large, heavy boxes; but several boxes were busted open and a few bolts were missing. Arrived FedEx Ground. Read the instructions carefully before you begin, as they are not well written. Call the 800# with any questions. If you want the decorative edging for the post bottoms, you have to order that separately. We had ours put into a stone patio, that required several bluestone to be removed, holes dug, posts lined up and cement poured in, then bluestone cut and put back. This took several days. Make sure you get straight pieces of lumber. Check the slope of your patio to ensure a level structure. The vinyl went on, along with the louvers, over the next 2 days. Note: the louvers do NOT close all the way, but they do close sufficiently to provide nice shade and they work easily. We do not feel that a fan could be hung from this, without causing damage to the louvers, so opted for a stand-up outside fan. We did not use any bottom trim either.

The rafter span joiners and end cap joints are dead-give-away's to the vinyl construction. Vinyl can easily be formed in lengths long enough to make the span, so this appears to be a design to accommodate easier shipping and not aesthetics. The end caps should have joiners similar to the internal ones used as spacers around the 4 x 4 posts....these are barely noticeable. Instead they are a loose fitting over the rafter slip on. The manufacturer should also provide enough PVC glue to complete the job. The two small squeeze tubes were only about 1/10th the amount required to finish. All that being said, we knew the joints would show and are not unhappy with the final result....just noting how easy it would be to make it so much better. Thanks,
