When egg prices were insane Vital Farms kept their prices the same, meaning they cost the same as the generic stuff for awhile. During that time i switched and found them genuinely better, but now that generic prices have come back down, i have a hard time justifying the extra $3 a dozen again. If you dont mind it or have a special recipe in mind, I would recommend.
Pasture raised eggs are the real and only eggs anyone who knows about how chickens actually live and what they eat should buy from any store, cage free are not the same or even close, and any chickens that are fed an all vegan diet are depriving chickens of things they normally eat as they are not vegan.
I pay a lot more for these eggs... growing up on a farm...you KNOW what eggs should look %26 taste like. Look for bright orange yolks, that means the chickens ate good food, grazing on plants, bugs etc %26 that orange color translates to high carotenoid eggs!
It just seems expensive for the chicken eggs that are being "naturally raised." I will never understand how organic is more expensive when back in the day, that's how animals were supposedly raised. I want to eat things that are good and are best for me, but the price to pay just doesn't add up to me. Things that kills us are cheaper but those things that are better for us cost more. Make it make sense.
I stopped purchasing as the price for a dozen eggs went up $7.46 . They are very good eggs if you can afford them, but personally, I do not think a dozen large eggs, regardless if pasture raised Grade A, should be this expensive. Again, they are good eggs just unfortunate that they are charging so much. If the price goes down considerably, I will purchase again.
I was trying to find safer and healthier eggs from farmers who actually care, but after eating these eggs I got so sick all day and night. I might’ve had a bad bacteria batch or something. I ended up throwing the rest out. I will probably never order eggs again, too many salmonella outbreaks from certain foods and this could have been one of them. Please stay cautious my fellow consumers!
I have horrible Histamine issues so I can only eat one white with 2 egg yolks. And these are the only eggs that I could eat without any issues , well not anymore. I got mine and they caused a histamine reaction which means these eggs are old not the quality that I expect when I'm paying nine dollars a dozen so disappointed I can't eat eggs anymore.
I’ve heard some bad things about these eggs I’m so disappointed that a brand that I once thought as the highest quality Turned out to be another corporate scam SO UPSET
Upset when you open the carton and you don’t have a dozen eggs. Store app returned my money but I don’t understand who is shopping. It’s like no one take care of the customer
Date on carton says to use by March 18 for the price I should have received fresher eggs since my pick up of groceries was March 17
