I put this in hot water every morning and drink it like hot chocolate. It is my little treat for waking up at 5 AM. So tasty! I am weight conscious, so it is nice to have something high protein and low calorie that I can enjoy without worrying about my waistline. (I do not drink sugary drinks for that reason.)
My wife uses this product, I'll hand the review over to her; I began using Collagen Peptides to help in the healing process of my MCL, and I believe in the 2 months I've been using it, my knee is improving. Of course a healing MCL takes quite a while without surgery, but I'm going to avoid surgery and continue to do my therapy exercises and heat infrared massage therapy. Slowly but surely I am healing, and I truly believe the Collagen Peptides is helping. Also my nails and hair are really growing, my nails haven't looked this great in years! I highly recommend this product.
Dissolves well in coffee, and has a nice, dark chocolate taste! I add 3 T. milk, 1 Splenda, and 1T. creamer, and it tastes like a mocha! I only use 1/2 serving each time (stretches the container to 28 servings), and still has 10 G protein. Improvements in hair and nails. Highly recommend!
My nails have been thin and brittle all my life. Since childhood this was painful and difficult as they would split and peel, or snag and break way down at the quick, requiring a bandage for about a week. This was a regular occurrence. My only known "fix" as an adult was artificial nails, which make them even thinner when stopped. Note, I have taken calcium, biotin and many other supplements for over a decade. However, I've been daily taking the vanilla collagen protein powder for over a year, I've gone without artificial nails and for the first time they don't get peel or snap off at the quick. I can wear polish or not, but they're strong! Photo attached shows dry cuticles but strong nails! (ridges are due to aging plus years of manicure chemicals.) Packaging just switched from plastic to cardboard but with a surprisingly easy lid. I like the vanilla flavor best. It's subtle, I can put it in my yogurt, cottage cheese, add it to my morning 28 oz. first water bottle. It adds a nice sweetness. I would pay more for an additional option of individual packets, for easy travel.
the instructions on the new paper lid tell you "pull here, don't twist" but what they don't explain is what you're pulling isn't the real lid. it's just a puece you pull off, so it's ok if you rip ut, so long as the thick rim you're pulling it away from stays intact. then there's *another* sacrifical lid you remove. i included two pics: one of what you pull off at the top, and one of what you end up with- a kind if flip top lud that stays attached at one end
The taste %26 consistency of the chocolate Vital Proteins is delicious! There’s no chalky aftertaste or clumping. The chocolate flavor is very chocolatey, while the powder is a light consistency. The only issue I have with this, that is more of a personal issue.. is that it’s very limited to what it can be used in, since it is chocolate, unlike the unflavored version. Overall, highly recommend!!
I purchased this collagen powder because I read where it was good for your hair (loss). I got the vanilla flavor and it is very good. I have noticed that i'm not loosing as much hair as usual and also my nails have quit breaking. I recommend this product for anyone that is having the problems I am having.
I have used this for so many years and recently I feel like it has just stopped working My nails are breaking my hair's falling out. So I switched to a different collagen brand My nails are growing again and my hair is no longer falling out. Not sure what changed in this but I'm done buying it.
Unfortunately the product has a slight rancid taste and smell. It's unfortunate. I've purchased this in the past with no issue but the packaging has changed to reduce microplastics- which I respect the effort- but throwing away a $35 container full of product will prevent me from buying again.
while I have always loved the product. your new packaging sucks. I hadn't purchased a lot because I had had a decent supply that I went through and then the last time I purchased I had just purchased the nutri cost brand on amazone which was a little cheaper. I hadn't had this in a little while so I was happy to add it to my Walmart grocery order today. I guess they're keeping it in cardboard now. I had to use a knife to freaking open it. I think I'm going to switch back to the nutri cost brand of this. for 20 bucks I think you can spring for some more decent packaging.
