There seem to be studies that show promising results with low doses of lithium orotate, to help prevent Alzheimer's disease. Do your own research, but for me, this supplement made me feel so even keeled. Bad sleep? A spat with your loved one? Hard day at work? Kids acting up? Sick pets? Just wow. I am just so not taking anything personally, and since starting this supplement, I have found that I am just HAPPY, and stuff does not bother me. Yes, you need to deal with stuff as it comes up, and I absolutely do deal with stuff as it happens, but no need to get all upset about it. AMAZING.

Lithium typically takes a few weeks to fully show noticeable results, and I have been taking it less than two weeks. I am basing this review on a previous purchase of the same Vitamatic product that I was taking a few years ago and on a friend's recent comments about how lithium really helped her mood. I highly recommend this product, but please don't think it isn't working until you have taken it for at least 3-4 weeks. Lithium levels in water and soil have steadily declined over the last 20 years or so, so the 5mg dose may bring you up to "normal" level (whatever normal is these days) without being too much. Always let your doctor know if you add a supplement to your regime and check for interactions with other meds and supplements. I am taking this lithium supplement for general health as well as mood enhancement. Results may not be dramatic, but lithium has many other benefits. Do your own research. It is an affordable supplement and worth a trial. I intend to purchase the Vitamatic brand again because off the dependable results and value.

Been feeling more anxiety, irritation and mood swings more than ever lately and I've heard about the calming effects of lithium orotate so decided to give it a try. Just after 4-5 days I can feel the calming effects already and I've tried everything from ashwaghanda, reishi mushrooms, L-theanine etc but this has helped me relieve these stresses the best. The side effect I feel at times are a bit dazed but I consider that better than feeling anxiety. Very happy with this purchase
