So many Niacin supplements are in the longer capsule form. This supplement is in a smaller tablet form. On top of that, it was a great value. I hope Walmart keeps it available!
Great price compared to other retailers.Dosage is clearly stated on package for proper use. Walmart always has great products at the best price!
I take one every day and have for the last 15 years or more and shop and buy them Walmart always the lowest price in the area .
Most 500mg Niacin (Vitamin B3) are larger and hard to swallow. These are slightly smaller pill form so easier to take. Sustained Release should help with absorption. Arrived on time.
These are tablets easy to swallow, good value for the money
These are good enough, but they are thick pills and are not very easy to swallow.
My MD prescribed Nispan -- a timed release niacin product for HDL/LDL management. When I found what Nispan cost with insurance (about $130) I went back to the MD and suggested we try an OTC timed release niacin. My doctor agreed and I saved about $115. The results, for me, have been the same as the prescription product. Your mileage may vary, check with your MD before changing your meds to OTC alternates, not all are comparable .
The slow release is supposed to minimize flushing. It generally works well, with only a few flushing occurrences. I think they may be brought on by a build up in my system, so I just cut back for a day and it is fine.
Seems to be working when taken before bed. Wish it came in capsule form.
yea this sent me to the ER , I broke out in rash had allergic reaction like I had hot flashes they said these usually will have that affect on people
