Vitamix Low-Profile Tamper

Designed for, therefore fits the S50 perfectly. I don't need the tamper for most of my blends, but when you need, it you need it. Really helps with soups, especially tomato soup and the like. Note: Vitamix price was better than Amazon too..

The tamper fits well in the top of my vitamix and does a great job with blending thick smoothies.

I bought this because I accidentally burned a hole in the last one by leaving it too close to the stove burner. This works with the Low-Profile Vitamix, which I really love because it fits under the cabinet on my counter-top. It took me years to decide to finally get a Vitamix and the Low-Profile Vitamix made it an easy choice. So glad I bought one. I use it almost every day at least once a day. In the morning I use it for my Kefir Smoothy and later as an aid in making soup. The Vitamix Customer Service is exceptional too!

I lost my last Low Profile stomper, had to have a replacement. It was exactly what I needed. It was easy find the size I needed. Very pleased, a product that I will never be without.

The one I got for my vitamin was too long the blades would chop it up at the bottom. I order another and got the same one. So after it got chopped up I looked into myself and found the low profile tamper and I love it.

This works great. However, it is made out of a thin hollow plastic. The first one we had, had a hole in the bottom of it. We purchased it from QVC and they were quick to send us a replacement. I do think it would work better if it was solid. The company is great and so is the blender!

I bought this to use with my 64 oz & 32 oz low-profile Vitamix containers, but I will probably not use it with the 32 oz because it measures almost 11-1/2" instead of the 9-3/4" shown on the website.

I purchased the low-profile tamper for my 48oz low container. I chose to purchase this tamper because the one that came with the container did not reach into the corners of the container. The web site description and design lead me to believe this would be better. The tamper requires extra effort to fit through the container lid, but once it does the slim design at the neck allows it to reach to the corners of the container. However, it does not easier move up/down once it is in the container. Perhaps this tamper was not actually designed for my container as the web-site made me believe....but I'm willing to work with it.

I purchased my vitamix several years ago, and have been incredibly pleased with it, I use it pretty much every day! My original tamper ended up with a crack which then turned into a hole where the food I was mixing could get into it. So I reached out to vitamix and purchased a new tamper. The tamper was a reasonable price and was mailed quickly! When I received the new tamper the plastic was much thinner than my original, and it was slightly longer. I was concerned that it would hit the blade while in use so I had tested it out with the machine off first. Sure enough, the tamper hit the blade without any kind of pressure or force. I am back to using the old tamper, I just have to be extra careful to wash out all the blended food particles from inside the hole.

The website said that this would work with my mixer. It didn't. I threw it out. Don't buy these. The right ones come with the container.
