Product arrived as described. The "suitable for many window types" picture is misleading. You'll install it on the sill so it's flat, not magically through the window. Very straightforward installation though. They shipped the mount with options, so you can install it with a wingnut or a more permanent solution: stop nuts. It comes with a screwdriver and a magnetic level. You may need to use a 10mm socket, which is not included. I managed to fully assemble and install this mount and my AC unit in under 15 minutes. I have triple-track windows. The support bracket is sturdy and transfers the stress off my window tracks to the frame. In that window system, those metal tracks are just thin, rolled aluminum. They aren't structural. It fits and holds a 10k BTU size unit with ease. The fact I don't have a heavy unit pulling on my house's window frame is an extreme peace of mind. The only quirk I see is once installed, there are new air gaps at the bottom, but it's nothing crazy or obnoxious or a dealbreaker since a unit tends to create those naturally that you'll want to plug anyway. Since there's no drilling, the mount can be removed when the unit is done for the year, keeping the aesthetic of the house clean. And come next season's install, I will have the AC unit mounted and turned on within seconds, which would have never been possible before.
