This drone is good for beginners and novice users. I enjoyed enabling the blue tooth on my phone and drone while h allowed me to take some amazing Ariel photos and videos. I am glad that it has an emergency landing button as I experienced a wind gust that could have been problematic. Fun for the whole family.
I am pleased with the performance of this drone so far. This is my first real drone after I tried several toy drones that were utter crap. The photo and video quality of this drone is decent, not quite good enough for publication, but certainly good for personal use or social media. As with any drones, there is a steep learning curve for getting the drone to go where you want and return successfully. This drone has several features that are way in advanced of the toy drones that I have tried, like the GPS mode, which holds the drone pretty steady in fixed positions (unless its really windy). The home function and phone pairing are also handy, especially if you happen to let the drone go a bit further than you intended. On the other hand, this drone doesnt have the image stabilization capabilities of the expensive professional drones, so expect some shakiness in the videos, especially on windy days.
My husband has been wanting to get a drone with good specifications that wouldnt break the bank. This is an excellent choice because it has a lot of the features of some of the more expensive models that meets our needs. For starters, this is a foldable drone so its compact and even comes with a nice carrying case for easy and convenient transport. This drone is equipped with a 2K video resolution camera which is able to adjust 180 degrees to capture videos from different angles. The only feature lacking is an image stabilizer for more stable footage. This requires a microSD card to save your media which is not included so you will have to purchase separately. This drone comes with two rechargeable batteries which can be flown for a combined time of over half an hour which is nice. This drone also comes with a phone holder to easily fly and control your device with using your mobile phone. There is a free mobile app that can be downloaded called Vivitar Aeroview thats compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. This drone has intelligent GPS so you can keep track of your drone during flight and has a cool Follow Me feature. Additionally, this has 2000 foot flight range which is impressive.
This drone is shockingly amazing. I have it for 2 months already and its flawless. Great distance, great clarity, great pictures and videos. no need to spend on DJI when you got this!!
Look at these photos! The quality even on a windy day is incredible! I bought a $50 drone a while ago and it doesn't compare. The strength of this drone is very strong fighting through really windy days at the beach. The battery lasts a long time, and the camera has a crazy 180 degree range. I'm impressed with vivitar's case. It's pretty big, but it came with an extra battery, extra wings, so that's really nice. Sometimes I see some lag on my phone screen from the drone camera, but it takes a second and fixes itself. I haven't tried the go home function, or a lot of the settings, but I'll get there.
Very good Drone. Maybe a little overpriced but a very good unit for someone starting out. Very stable, very fast and responsive. The only drawback is how hard it is to find spare/replacement parts. Not sure what, if any. parts from other brands will interchange. See some that look the same. If anyone knows where to get parts I sure would like to hear from them.
Worked great for two flights. Flew a day later flew fine. Depleted one battery waited an hour or so flew with second battery and the front right motor seized up. The battery charging indicator light would not light up either. Charged for two hours hoping that was sufficient.
this thing was fun until it just dropped out of the sky like a dead bird and splattered all over the pavement 230 dollars down the drain for 10 mins of fun.
While this may be a nice Drone, I had serious issues. Got the Drone in via Fed-Ex 08/30/2021. Put the batteries on charger so they would be fully charged. Today 08/31/2021 I took out the Drone from the packaging and saw the Drone had been damaged. No it was not damaged during shipment to me, or by my handling after receipt. It was used by a former receiver, repaired with some duct tape and then returned. Wal-Mart received it and didn't bother to but it in damaged pile so it would not be resold. I returned the Drone for full refund, including refund for Insurance coverage. A very sad experience with this item.
This drone was very difficult for me to drive, the very first time flying it for only about 8 seconds the contols were not working, no matter what wat i would move the controller it just went the way it wanted to go, landed in a tree and the motor just started going crazy! To the point i couldnt get it down until the battery died because the motor was going so fast it probably would have sliced my hand if i tried to grab it from the tree!
