Excellent TV for a Great Price

RobRobRobRob February 12, 2017

I'm very happy with this TV. I had zero problems with it. If you use the TV with a cable box you won't mind the remote at all because it does everything you will need. One downer is you can't do Amazon Prime Video using the built-in Chromecast app. I placed my TV on an entertainment center and the TV leg spacing was a little too wide so I removed the TV legs, cut off the insertion notch and turned them around so they angled inward and they fit.

Nice for the price

jbanu2 February 20, 2017

Got this TV for less than $1000, nice picture, not the best but is good quality. Positives: Size, built in Chromecast, Remote on Smart phone, many HDMI inputs, Digit audio output. Customer support is great, you can even chat with them online to get support, no phone call needed. Had to contact support to get DVD player connected, even though I figured it out myself. Negatives: Remote on Smart phone (you can do most if not all settings on the supplied remote), but you do need the app on a phone to ease setup. I had a hard time getting a DVD player connected over HDMI cable. Strange thing was the cable had to be replaced for some reason so keep that in mind, it worked on another TV (60" Samsung) but the cable did not work on this TV and not sure why, support did nto know why either. Overall: A good TV, glad I purchased it and would I purchase it again? Definitely.

Great features

Juanjorge5 July 17, 2017

I bought this about a month ago and I love it, especially the quality image. The only improvement is better volume.

Great size. Picture is fine too.

1bestbuyer January 21, 2017

Pros: I bought this due to its size and price. Great buy for the dollars used. Cons: the remote doesn't offer much and you have to do everything with you phone/mobile device, including accessing the apps.

Not about the controller

Ryan January 17, 2017

A lot of negative reviews focus on the bare bones controller, which doesn't bother me (smart phone as a controller is pretty cool). This, however, is the second Vizio tv I've purchased; the last was about ten years ago and it appears they still have the same problem. Dead pixels, mine has 8, plus some light bleed in the bottom left corner. I'm considering returning it, but if its anything like 10 years ago they [Vizio] will just keep sending me refurbished models (with dead pixels as well) until i give up. Other than that it's still a pretty cool TV for the price.

TV was dead on arrival

pghnut1 December 4, 2017

I had the television delivered, which took almost a month. When I set it up and turned it on, all I got was a grey screen with a white vertical stripe. No sound, nothing else. Sam's Club support said they did not have another one in stock and only offered my money back. So much for Sam's "Priority 90 day service" that they promised. I called Visio and they are shipping out a new one within 10 days and having a technician set it up. Hopefully that will go well.

Don't

cincinnati January 29, 2017

Do NOT buy this tv spend a little extra for a good one, I bought this tv 4k ultra hd, I have a Vizio 50" two 43" 4k ultra's one 32" Vizio, I bought this one because I have all Vizio's and have had no problems with them so far, THIS tv is TERRIBLE!!! To start the remote only has volume, power and input you HAVE to have a smart phone to pair it, it took 2 hours to pair this tv with my Apple Iphone 6, after that the app keeps kicking me off, so someone told me to use my WII U to get a movie on Hulu or Netflix ect... There's black rings in the screen around the right bottom part of the screen. Vizio's customer service is the WORST EVER!!! They told me there's nothing they can do about it. I bought the extended warranty which I shouldn't have to use because it's new I just bought it, Well I'm stuck with a tv that the picture is not as good as my others and has black rings that are expanding. HUGE waste of money. PROS: NONE CONS: No remote, terrible customer service, poor picture, warranty is useless. I should had paid attention to the other bad review on here, but I figured this had a remote I should be fine wow was I ever so wrong. For the price I paid for this, I could had got a really nice one. I will never buy another Vizio ever, because of their customer service.

Not a fan of chromecast

Bob H March 12, 2017

The TV display is as advertised. However, the chrome cast feature requires a mobile device to use the smart TV functions. Altogether disappointed not realizing the inconvenience. I have an older version of same TV with all the apps built in & love it. Newer not always better?
