I bought the Vizio E55-E2 in August along with a Vizio sound bar and I am very pleased with the products. The picture and sound are great. I had a little trouble setting up the Smartcast, but the technical support was great and got me up and running. I also have two other Vizio TV's that I have had for years and have had no problems with them. I will always be a Vizio customer.
I've had the TV now for a few weeks and am very impressed with the quality of the picture and the quality of the sound plus the quickness of the apps and the almost instant on when you turn the TV on is so great its hard to believe that Vizio can pack so much in such a thin TV body and it is only 34 pounds. Great job Vizio
I bought this for my husband for Father's day and he loves it. He did not download the chrome cast app since we have netflix on our cable box but he loves the TV. He picture snd sound is great and I love that you don't hear the tv click on and off. This is the 2nd vizio we have bought and I couldn't be happier with our choice.
As soon as it arrived and I got our 70" Vizio out-of-the-box I was impressed by how lightweight it was. We had it installed and operational in minutes. The Vizio smart cast TV is now the favorite TV in our house, with its beautiful picture and sound we have connected to the Vizio sound bar. It's changed the way to watch TV. Movie night just got 100 times better!! I'm going to install every TV room in our house with a Vizio smart castTV.
The picture quality is excellent. For the money it is great value considering you also also getting HDR. The issue I have with the TV is the sound is not very loud. Even at some of the highest levels sound does not fill the room. Just bought a sound bar today. Hopefully that fixes the issue.
I like the picture and the features and options it offers, but the one thing I am disappointed in is that it doesn't have YouTube as one of the apps pre-installed. I understand that I can use my smart phone and stream it to the TV through my phone, but I was expecting it already installed on my TV apps. I have a friend of mine who does have YouTube set up like this and that is why I wanted to buy a Smart TV, so for that reason I am disappointed in this TV. The sound could use some improvement.
Vizio is a great TV, delivery cod have been a week sooner instead of leaving it sit in a warehouse, delivery was a 1 man show for such a large tv. Sound to hear, you have to turn up, hardly no bass. Trying to figure out why they call it a home theatre tv . Overall I love everything else about it.
The picture is great, tv is great, the casting isn't perfect. And that might be more on Hulu an Netflix then Vizio. Would be easier if apps ran threw the tv an not only cast threw the phone. Every time the phone locks you have to wait for it to reconnect to the tv. So if I miss something I have to pull out my phone wait for it to reconnect then rewind. It would be really great if there was some option to rewind casting threw the remote and/or be able to adjust settings with the remote. Over all best tv I've ever had 4k (which you can only really use threw casting Netflix at the moment) is amazing I can see the stitching on actors clothing. An there are almost no dark spots which I why I got rid of my last tv. GREAT AN AMAZING TV
The peak brightness is less than that of the old plasma it is replacing. Also there is pretty significant dimming is all of the corners. That said, there is significant less glare on the TV, even though we have some large bright windows (was a big problem with the plasma). So for now the trade off is worth it.
Overall satisfied with picture quality for the price I paid. The cheap remote was a huge downgrade. The built is SmartCast is very annoying and is not compatible for HD with some services and that app is not available to download direct to the tv. Changing input sources automatically selects for you real quick if you don't.
