Beautiful picture and very light. Love that I only have to plug in TV and don't need to worry about cable and Internet wires. I just move the tv from room to room depending on what I'm doing. I even moved it into the bathroom and watched netflix while in the tub. WiFi picks up all over the house with no wires. Really awesome.
Ordered TV online and it picked it up from Walmart two days ahead of scheduled pickup. TV is as advertised, great picture. Remote works fine, comes with batteries. Purchased a basic Vizio sound bar to accompany the TV. Highly recommend a sound bar for movies and music. Took an hour or so to adjust the TV picture to my taste. DISH connected TV to system and configured on-off and sound to work off of DISH remote. Use TV remote for fine tuning adjustments. Do not have internet or phone connected to TV but instructions are fairly simple for these connections. Overall, very pleased with purchase. Price beat all other local prices.
Easy to set up, I purchased a flatwave antenna with it (no more cable!!) and the antenna works well also. Easy to connect my HTPC to it and rock movies and TV shows. I purchased the EMatic bracket, Wish I had gotten another one so I didnt have to modify my mounting surface. The one I bought only extends 7in or so. I cut a 2x4 to mount it to to extend it further. This worked out well.
The TV was lightweight. It was easy to handle, unpackage and set up. Once you have it plugged in, the instructions to set up wi-fi connection, Netflix, etc. were easy to follow. I love the picture and the sound. I can't believe that this TV is better than my last one, but cost half as much as my last one. (The last one was the same size.) I enjoy that I no longer need to use Wii to make my TV smart.
I was replacing a 32" Vizio that was only about 8 years old. I was surprised out how light this TV is. Also, I wasn't looking for a smart TV, but it's way cool to watch my Amazon prime stuff without needing a Firestick. Picture quality is good, sound is good enough, but the speakers are rear-facing, which doesn't matter to me since I use my stereo for sound. Overall, a great value, a very nice TV.
This product is definitely worth the money I paid. Even though the picture quality isn't quite what I expected, it's still good. I was worried about it arriving damaged, but the stories I've heard about this product arriving with a broken screen or damaged casing are shipping mishaps, not Wal-Mart's fault. A great purchase overall!
If you have Verizon Fios internet service, I would not recommend this tv as a smart tv. I purchased this tv as a series E a year ago, and after repeated contacts with Vizio tech support, could not get it to hook up with my wireless router. I returned the television to Walmart as defective, although I otherwise liked its picture and sound. This year, needing a new TV for the bedroom, I again purchased this basically the same TV only as a series D thinking I would get a good one this time. Unfortunately, this TV would not connect with my Fios internet service either. After reading many on line posts from people having the same compatibility problem with Vizios' inability to hook up with Fios, and even some Comcast wireless services, I have given up on trying. Since I otherwise like the other features, picture and sound, I will probably just keep it as a "dumb" TV and purchase a wireless adapter to make it "smart"
I got this TV last weekend to replace the one in my bedroom that died. I BARELY fit on my dresser that my old one sat on. I wish it had a different base, not the two legs on the sides of it. it needs a pedestal base. I was so nervous about it falling off my dresser that I switched it with my living room TV. It is smaller than my 46 inch LR tv, but the picture is so fantastic that I don't miss it. I bought the 46 inch visio tv 6 years ago for my living room and have loved it so much. such a great product with a great picture, but this new 40" has a much better picture so I don't miss the bigger size in my LR. One problem that I see is that there is NO controls on the tv itself. If your remote craps out you are screwed. you can't turn it on or off, or change channels. And the remote "feels" cheap. Totally plastic feeling and hitting the buttons just feels like it won't last. I almost feel like I need to get another one just in case this one dies. I have loved the Visio brand for many years, but this one scares me. What happened to the buttons on the actual TV???? Visio needs to get a clue. With all that said, I'm happy with my purchase. The picture is awesome.
As other people have stated before, it is a good TV for the price and with a little color tweaking the picture is nice. However, neither Amazon Video or Netflix work out of the box (Hulu did work), I even tried after it got a firmware update. You can browse titles and everything but when it comes to streaming it just doesn't work. This was using a wired connection with 80Mbps speed (also tried wireless), same connection that I use on my Samsung Smart TV with no issues and the same one I now use with a Roku hooked up to this TV also with no issues.
Never had the Vizio TV before so I decided to try it because the price was right and the picture was not bad. The problem was I could not play Netflix or Amazon. After it would load, it seemed it was going to play and then would err out. Product was returned.
