3rd Vizio I've purchased & all still working like the day they came out of the box. Wanted a 50 inch but couldn't find the width of the base anywhere online. Saw it at a big box store & salesperson had no clue. Called Vizio customer service & spoke to Dustin who had the info in less than 30 seconds. So impressed with his service & knowledge, I purchased the E50-E1 directly from Vizio. Actually saved nearly 100 bucks by not buying it locally. Great picture though wish it was 120hz but the 4K makes up for it. Easy set-up, found my Wi-Fi connection pronto & was flying in no time. Haven't gotten into the phone app or Chromecast yet but sure it'll work fine. Would suggest a Vizio soundbar to enhance the experience, makes a big difference. And a big selling point, customer service located in the U.S. not outsourced to the far east. Money well spent!
Great size, lightweight and very easy to install. Came with 2 individual legs as the stand and they are not bulky like some stands. Purchased for our great room which has an entire back wall of large windows but, despite all the light coming in can still see screen good during the day. We like the size too, fits great in our entertainment center. Best of all the picture quality is absolutely crystal clear and amazing. Sale price was an added bonus!
I have a chromecast and fire tv stick. SmartCast blows both of them out of the water in terms of performance and usability. Everything is literally instantaneous. The apps on the TV recognize you're on a 4K TV and offer special categories for 4k content as well, which definitely helps with the sparse 4k available right now. The XLED picture quality is amazing when watching 4K content, but 1080p content doesn't get much boost from it.
Vizio TV is the best, best picture, best color and easy to understand. However, you must also know buying a "Chromecast built-in" TV is not for everyone. You must be willing to use your phone with someone or must be willing to have your phone around
Yet another TV that does not disappoint for display and presentations. We use 4 vizio e-series TV's for our church across 3 different venues and absolutely love the quality we get. We have two of these E75-E3 in our main auditorium augmenting projection and 2 60" in our kid's area. Would not go back to anything else.
The Smartcast App is a great feature. Whenever we lose the remote (which is often) we just use our phones to control the tv. However, it would be nice if YouTube could be controlled from the remote, like Netflix, instead of having to always be Smartcasted.
I bought this for my husband for Father's day and he loves it. He did not download the chrome cast app since we have netflix on our cable box but he loves the TV. He picture snd sound is great and I love that you don't hear the tv click on and off. This is the 2nd vizio we have bought and I couldn't be happier with our choice.
I really like the features of the Vizio. The picture quality is great. If there’s any down side it’s that the audio isn’t great. I have a large livingroom but my other Vizio has much better speakers. I’ll just hook a surround sound system and fix that. All in all a really great tv.
For the money, you’d be hard pressed to find a better value. Great picture, 4K streaming of you have the bandwidth. It’s not without flaws - the remote falls apart if you look at it wrong, and the UI for changing inputs with the included remote is confusing. But, if you have a smartphone and get the SmartCast app, you suddenly have a great remote.
The peak brightness is less than that of the old plasma it is replacing. Also there is pretty significant dimming is all of the corners. That said, there is significant less glare on the TV, even though we have some large bright windows (was a big problem with the plasma). So for now the trade off is worth it.
