I bought this kit because I'm starting to do more video content for product reviews, automotive projects and DIY work. For the price, I'm actually pretty impressed with what you get. The tripod/grip can be used handheld or opened up and used as a tabletop tripod. The phone holder adjusts easily, the LED light is surprisingly useful, and the included microphone gives you another option for recording audio.
The Bluetooth remote paired with my Android phone as “AB Shutter3” and worked without needing a separate app. The remote comes with its battery already installed. The LED light does require three AAA batteries, and those are not included, so make sure you have some available.
The kit also includes the cables and adapters needed to connect the microphone to different phones. I was able to connect the microphone to my USB-C Android phone using the included adapter.
My biggest complaint is that mine came with absolutely no instructions. There are several cables, adapters and different pieces included, and if you've never used a kit like this before, you're basically left to figure out what connects where and how everything works. Even a simple one-page diagram would have made a huge difference.
I've already tested the setup indoors and outdoors and recorded several videos with it. Framing yourself when you're working alone takes some practice, but that isn't really the fault of the kit. Once everything is assembled and connected, it gives you a lot of useful equipment in one inexpensive package.
This obviously isn't professional studio equipment, but I wasn't expecting that at this price. As an affordable starter kit for someone wanting to make product reviews, social media content, unboxings, automotive or DIY videos with their phone, I think it offers a lot for the money.
One note about my photos: the phone shown mounted in the kit is an old, non-working phone that I used only to demonstrate how the complete setup looks when assembled and connected. I'd have given five stars if it would have had instructions.
