VocoPro DVX-890K - DVD player

This product was not easy to find, when I saw it on the Walmart site, they had thorough information and after ordering, they followed up promptly to let me know when delivery would happen

Other more expensive karaoke machines have more options like a hard drive to rip songs to, and recording capabilities to record your songs with your vocals onto a SD card or memory stick. This machine will play cds and dvds and display the songs on your screen. I like the key changer to customize your songs to your voice. I would recommend this.

So far the DVX890k works as advertised. I've tested DVD's, karaoke DVD's, CD+G, and other types of media in this player. It played them all without any issues and the sound quality was also good. It came with two good quality microphones as well.

Works fine for karaoke and for music however The directions are not clear as to how to use the SD card and how to download karaoke music to the SD card item needs to have either booklet our Internet site that you can go and get clear instructions therefore you can benefit from all the options on the player.

Item purchased as expected.

The player works fine for in-home use. However, the HDMI out didn't work with my home theater system, in other words, it's not plug and play. I had to utilize the component jacks in order to get to the onscreen menu. It's the only way you can turn on the HDMI output. Once the HDMI source was enabled I was able to utilize my home theater system. If you're looking for a karaoke player for your home theater system I would recommend it. Just be aware that the instructions don't tell you that the HDMI output has to be enabled.

This player has a lot of features for the price. However, the disk player portion is nearly entirely made of plastic and will/does not stand up to the rigors of constant moving and heavy usage several nights each week.

It is okay, not bad, but not the greatest ever bought.

1st off it arrived dented.. Didn't play my karaoke files. Had to buy a new disk. It was a let down at my daughter's graduation party. Returned it for the 777 model from Amazon. It plays mp3+g

My daughters 18th birthday party. Planned a big party around karaoke. I found this one online and thought it was perfect! It came in 3 days before the party and when we set it up...it didn't work. Wouldn't even turn on. I called VocoPro's customer service to see if it was something we did, he said no it sounds like you got a bad unit. So I took it back. I had the hardest time finding another machine for the party. Ended up buying one from Toys r Us for $50. Worked just fine. I wouldn't recommend it.
