Great chess system it has everything you could think of it work by magnetized pieces it will show you what moves you have and when you play wrong it talks. It will teach you how to play. Great for beginners. They thought of every detail. It lightweight very good buy. you can play against a computer or you can play somebody else.

So, I was on the Chess team in high school (a long time ago). Always wanted an electronic set. This VONSET P6 is pretty cool. It is electronic, yet you have an actual board and pieces rather than a screen. Good for beginners. It will alert you to incorrect or prohibited moves. Good for intermediates. This set can offer hints or better options. There are puzzles stored in memory if you like solving 'mate in two' type examples. And of course, you can play against the machine. 18 levels of play from beginner to intermediate. The machine's ELO score (which is a comparable skill level) is from 100 to 1,700. According to my research, a rating of 2,200 is considered a Master level. I tried level 1. I won in about 10 moves. It was interesting. The board's spaces light up. Red light means error, prohibited move and so on. Green light gemerally means an acceptable or allowed move. Blue light might be a hint or suggestion of a better move. I have to see if the 'hinting' mode can be turned off. A voice tells you when it's white's turn and annouces errors or winner. Note: It took a little getting used to. Do not bump pieces as you move them. Each piece is recognized by the board and each piece has a magnetic base. Bumping a piece may be misinterpreted as an illegal move. Do not drag pieces across board. Lift each piece and place squarely on square to avoid misreading by computer. Whrn castling, move King first, then night. When you move a piece, the computer will show you.available squares by lighting them green. To choose a level of play, us the up/down arrows button. Down arrow counts UP, and up arrow counts DOWN. The board's squares will light up to indicate the level of play. For instance, level 1 will be shown as '01' on the board. Voice.volume is adjustable via the button with the speaker diagram. This VONSET board is rechargeable! Excellent! Upon receiving, I charged it for about 1-2 hours. A USB-A to USB-C cord is included. an LED next to the USB-C port glows red when charging and green when fully charged. A Quick User Guide and a Full Manual are both included. Take the time to look them over. The chrss pieces are plastic with magnetic bottoms. They are large enough to be used as a regular chess set when opposing another person rather than the computer. Two small carry pouches are included for all the pieces. Each set also comes with an additional Queen, should you require one. I will keep the box. It serves as a very nice case for all parts. I'm excited. I will advance one level at a time and see how far I get before losing to the machine, or if I can beat all levels. Chess is a great game. Rather than aimless shooting and violence, it teaches analytics and planning ahead. This is a great gift for all ages. I'm already enjoying it. Highly Recommended

I bought it as a Xmas gift. It hasn't been open yet but I'm sure he will love it. He's my 12 year old grandson who would love to beat me in chess.

I got this as a surprise gift to my husband as he spends a lot of time playing chess during weekend with his friends. He was really happy and excited. If you are looking to buy gift for someone who loves to play mind games this will be nice choice.
