For the money you can't go wrong. It's quiet on high speed and really moves the air. It does exactly as described. Don't waste your money on a lower priced fan, they are a waste of money. This fan comes with a 5yr warranty as well. This is my 2nd Vornado fan, I will buy more this summer because they are quiet, dependable & really move the through out the house. You can feel the air across the room, no other fan I know of does this. Even a 20" fan doesn't move the air like this one does and it's so quiet you can't even hear it running.
I bought this fan to replace a Hitachi Fan with a rotating louvre. I'd had the Hitachi fan since the 1980's. It was the best fan ever. i did some research and everyone seemed to like Vornado Fans. What I miss is the rotating louvre, but otherwise this fan is quieter and provides air to circulate across the room ver well. No complaints.
small enough to move around easily. does not swivel, very quiet. gives a good breeze. The best fan I have ever owned. I am in my 80's.
The fans work very well. Cools the rooms down.
Its a well built, heavy fan. It doesnt make much noise. And on low setting, it pushes the air faster than an old 10 inch box fan on high. You'd have to get a much larger, more expensive pedestal or high velocity fan, to move as much air as this does.
The Vornado is a quality fan. I had purchased the smaller size two years ago and it was equally as powerful. Don't hesitate to purchase Vornado fans. I have found, in between seasons, that the cooling it provides is really worth the cost. It is easy to carry around, as well. Worth every penny!!
We are living, thriving in the Colorado heat without air conditioning. A portable swamp cooler and three of these fans effectively circulate the air and maintain a pleasant atmosphere. These fans are light enough to quickly adjust the position or move to another room. Meanwhile the design prevents cats from knocking these fans over.
We bought the 673 Panel Circulator 3 weeks ago. This is a great fan. It is quiet and it moves a lot of air. Its shape allows you to set it over a floor air register and it will 'pull' air out of the register. This is great for the rooms farthest from the Heating/AC air unit
I got this to replace a cheap, old, noisy 10 inch box fan that hardly moved any air, even at high speed. This fan is heavy out of the box. It seems sturdy and well built. At low speed, it pushes more air than the old box fan at high speed. It makes much less noise. Some of the noise isn't the fan, but the air being moved. There is no hinge to tilt it up, you just lay it on its back if you want vertical wind direction. Its got small rubber feet for both positions. You can easily take it apart to clean the fan. Its got a 5 year warranty. I'm trying to save electricity by blowing warm air out of a kitchen window, and drawing cool evening air through a living room window. A fan is about 10% of the electric usage than air conditioning. For my use, I'm glad I got the 673, and not the smaller one. Its got an indentation in back, to help you lift and move it. It came within 2 days, as promised. Did you hear that Amazon ? One minor thing, if you touch the fan while its on, it does vibrate a little. I don't think the fan will start to walk if its on high. Its not noisy rotating, but it isnt a super smooth rotation either. Perhaps better bearings or something would make it much more expensive. As is, its darn near perfect for me.
Moves a nice breeze throughout the room, even on low.
