We've been really happy with this Vornado Humidifier from Walmart. It works great, puts out a good amount of moisture, and the biggest thing for me is that it does NOT leave white dust or residue all over the furniture like some humidifiers do. I also really like the large water tanks because they're easy to fill and don't need constant refilling. The room feels much more comfortable, especially at night, and it's been easy to use and keep clean. Definitely worth the purchase so far!
I love the simplicity of this humidifier. It holds enough water to run all night on high. Controls are simple and easy to operate and understand. Solid unit that should last a long time.
I spent lots of money on humidifiers over the last 8 years. a humidifier is must have for someone with mild sleep disorder. never heard of Evaporative Humidifier, but after researching and reading about all its Pros, I ordered one then another. one for my bedroom and one for the rest of the house. unlike the many others i have purchased, this one doesn't create water messes on the floor. this thing is perfect!!! (this is not an endorsement lol)
What's not to love? Everything about this VORNADO EVAP40 humidifier is perfect. Sorry, i don't know how to send pictures, otherwise we would. We have over 1700 sq ft . and now, our inside humidity stays in the low fifties. Meters are placed in furthest area away from each other. Our only problem is US -- we are in our 80's, in wheelchairs and when these are loaded we are unable to lift out of sink onto my lap to take to the humidifier. So, we fill half-way, PROBLEM SOLVED. We've only had this up and running for a week and already seeing a difference in our skin - less itching; and every day less %26 less dry skin flakes on our floors and furniture. We are so excited to see, with time, what else is easier for us. We are expecting less cleaning of everything - i.e., ceiling fans, return vents, etc., etc..... We could keep on and on but i am old, i am tired and i am now going to take a nap because i don't have to be cleaning instead anymore. Oh yes, thanks for asking for our review, only wish i could be shouting it from the roof top.
It does a good job at keeping my just over 1600 sq ft house at a good humidity range. It is a little noisy when the glugging sound starts as it refills, but that's to be expected and a decent trade off for the large size of the tanks and ability to use tap water. Overall I'm happy and would repurchase.
I purchased this about a month ago. Ran it as the directions said. Now the whole house has remained at a wonderful 40% humidity. And it is made in the USA!!!
I've had this unit for about 2 weeks. and it's ran constantly. Also, I've owned and used other humidifiers for years. Overall, this will work for a large room, but pay attention to the size of room indicated in the marketing material and you'll be very happy. The two storage bottles are designed with high integrity, they are exceptionally easy to fill and replace. It is easy to view the water levels so you can glance to see when filling is needed. One side usually empties first and then the second one starts emptying. Since there are two bottles, with handles, transporting to and from the water source is easy. This makes it easy to manage the refill schedule as the humidity in the air will change the frequency of refill needed. The unit is noisy on the HIGH fan setting, but I use medium and it's not annoying at all. I have only this one humidifier in the house and it's in a great room that is 50% larger than the unit is rated for. I live in Austin Texas and this time of year, it gets quite dry. The unit is able to keep the humidity between 45-50 which works for me and my grand piano. I fill daily and it doesn't run empty. I purchased direct from the factory and I'm very satisfied, but feel it's retail price is about 10-15% high. I don't like to pay middle-men and like to support US manufactories, so I paid more than with Amazon. If you can fill daily, you will be very happy with the performance when used as described.
The humidifier does a nice job and holds enough water to last a few days, even if running continuously at medium fan speed. The only improvement would be to make the fan speed knob easier to operate. That fan speed knob is small in diameter, the stops between speeds are very distinct, and the knob material makes it a little difficult to grasp without your fingers slipping on the knob.
Some little difficulties - with the very cold weather the humidifier has a problem, even on high, of keeping good (40's%) humidity, Also when looking at it the right side empties first and later the left side. I changed the receptacles and it was the same. It is the construction of the machine not the containers. Otherwise it is fine.
I was really excited about this replacing my old big humidifier, but it doesn't actually make room very humid though it does use a lot of water and it's difficult to fill.
