Vornado Flippi V10 Personal Oscillating Fan, Air Circulator, Graphite Gray

It pulls a ton of air in a straight line and it is so powerful you can put this Fan about 10 feet away and you still feel the air at medium settings. The size is just right, I don't know if Vornado could ever make a larger one like a V12 because then you start running into possibly not having enough desk space.

This Vornado Air Circulator is one of my favorite fans, and still works great past its warranty. Because it's past the warranty, the motor's bearings are starting to go out and it rattles on high, but it still is quiet on medium and low. I did discover how hard it is to disassemble for servicing, but I still managed to (idk if I was supposed to). I have this one and also a Zippi, PIVOT Personal, and a 5303DC, which are all for different things and seasons. The Flippi I have is by my room's air vent/register, and boosts the air that comes out by a LOT. I'm also liking the oscillation feature since that REALLY disperses the airflow. My Flippi has been running for almost 2 years past the warranty label, and when it decides to stop working and completely die, I'll keep it anyway since all the fans I have that don't work (about 3 different fans [not vornado]), I have a custom display just for them. Thanks again Vornado for an amazing fan.

The Flippi10 performs very well for its size and has kept the hottest room in the house cool when it has been 105 degrees this summer. It would be nice if if it had a tiny bit smaller footprint so it it would fit a little bit more conveniently on more surfaces including windowsills. The controls are a little stiff, as is the button to turn on the oscillation, so two hands are best to use just like the other reviews have already stated. I also think that that when the fan is "flipped" closed, it looks rather strange like some kind of hygenic or medical machinery. I don't like to close it. I also own the smaller Flippi 6 and it doesn't present with the same illusion because it is smaller and not white in color. Even on the highest speed, the noise the fan puts out is minimal. It has been a lot louder on fans that work half as well in my house previously, so though I acknowledge some buzzing at the higher levels, it could be worse.

Already own 2 of these uniquely styled fans. The 2 bothersome features as already stated are the dial to turn on and select speed. You need 2 hands and dial can be stiff. But the negative feature that blows my mind is that you cannot clean it!! Come on Vornado---make the grill design reliable but easily removable--couple of screws perhaps or snap-in function? Everybody knows you need to clean fans. On the plus side, good output of air for our kitchen, sleek look, and we like the oscillating feature as we move around the kitchen. Please do something soon about easy access to clean this fan and only then would I recommend this product.

I love everything about this fan - except - it is difficult to clean. Seeing the dust accumulate on the fan blades and not being able to access them, for purposes of cleaning, is frustrating.

This fan has many cons, and too few pros to be recommended. It looks nice, but does not work nearly as good as any of the other vornado fans I own. The choice for the rocker switch is dumb, as you have to secure unit with one hand to change speeds. The motor is really annoying, with pulsing and doesn't move much air for it's trouble. Also it is not designed to be easy to clean like every other vornado i have. Seems like a knock off with a Vornado emblem on it. If the new towers use these type of fans, you can count me out.

Love the fan BUT how do we clean it ? Please tell us Vornado or let me know it can't be cleaned ?? Sounds fair to me. I mean it may be a fine fan but if it can't be cleaned then is it really a good fan ?? This may sound trivial but after a year or so it needs cleaning inside - period !!! So I give it a thumbs down for that otherwise it is a very nice fan ... -Disappointed in Los Angeles

I am considering returning the "personal circulator", since I thought it was more like a fan. I wanted it for my bathroom since my cheap fan broke; the old fan produced more air flow. Agree that control is awkward. Also, I was disappointed in the black cord on a white fan. Kind of makes the fan more obvious in the room. I may try a Vornado FAN instead.

I love Vornado fans & was looking for a replacement as my small air circulator broke in luggage on a recent trip. The design of this fan is great as it's small & easily traveled with. However it makes an incredibly loud rattling noise on the highest speed & pretty much non-existent on the lower speeds. Definitely would not recommend this fan to anyone.

My wife and I are great fans of Vornado. We have just about every style in our home. We have been buying Vornados for twenty five to thirty years. The only fan we have been diappointed in is this model. It is difficult to turn on and off. It is impossible to clean. Getting the grill off is a major production. We could find no cleaning instruction or instruction on how to take the grill off to clean it and the fan blade. We use two of them in our bathroom and they get dust and powder in them freqquently. We would be excited to see a better model of this size fan become available.
