Vornado Flippi V6 Personal Air Circulator Fan, Black

I just received my Flippi V6 in Bliss Blue so I can't speak to longevity but it fits my needs. I use a fan for white noise because I worked nights for many years. This year I have two vacations coming up. I needed a small portable fan I could put in my carry on luggage that could give me a little sound and a nice breeze. This little guy does the trick and looks nice too. I think it's great that the Flippi comes in multiple colors and has a 6 ft. Cord (unlike the new toaster I just bought). I'm glad it was available.

Wanted to get a little fan to use while working in the lab that was easily adjustable with wind direction. Saw a few others in my lab with this fan and decided to give it a try and I'm very impressed with it. Would highly recommend for anyone needing a small fan for a desk or workstation.

I bought this for my desk at work on the days that the office is a little to warm. With 2 settings on this fan it is perfect. Not to weak and not to strong. It also fits perfectly and isn't ugly next to everything else.

It's a great desk fan. I have it pointed at my face all day on the lower setting (like a gentle breeze) to help me cool down. I like not worrying about propping it in any way.

I bought this product about a month ago to use while I sleep when I'm on house sitting jobs. It is perfect-sized, and provides just enough moving air for me to sleep, while not creating a bunch of noise. I'm really glad I bought it.

This fan does not oscillate . Description says it does.

Great design. Because of the way it folds, it is a perfect travelling personal fan. I run mine every night beside my bed for the white noise and light breeze it provides. I use another on my desk at home. A third Flippi is used in my ship. My only problem is the fan motor will eventually start to make screeching noises within a year. Because Vornado has outstanding customer service and warranty, I've had three replacement fans sent to me. I wish this fan would just last, blowing quiet each night for several years, though.

I liked the idea of this fan as a replacement for a very classic miniature floor design type that had quit working. I bought this expecting something better than average because of the name and the hype. Unfortunately, between the nearly useless I setting and the better II setting that is laid out in a very odd way on the power switch, I'm overall far from impressed. Why have a setting that barely moves air. I accidentally leave it on all the time because it's basically like not being on at all. Also, why on earth would you lay out a switch like the one they did? The fan isn't heavy enough to use it with one hand so any time I want to go change the setting or turn it off, I need to use both hands. I know, first world problems, but it's 2015, I think we can do better. Also, what's with having the layout of the switch going from Off to II to I? Is that just a complacent admittance that nobody is really every going to use setting I?

We bought this for it's compact and easily transported features. We are staying in hotels and need the extra white noise and air circulation. 3 months into owning it, it started smoking one night. Thankfully my son is very sensitive to smells and woke us up before it causes a fire. Sending it back.
